Valentines Day

Grip her lovingly between your fingers,
Do not let her slip through the gaps,
Hold her as close as you can, as often as possible,
But keep your grip on her,
Don’t let her slip,
Away, Away.

Death has come to take her away,
Hold her closer, she’s fading,
Her life energy is fading as you crumble,
With pain, with grief, with love.

Down, Down she’s slipping from your grasp,
And your life.
She’s covered in her own blood,
Her body limp,
She barely has enough strength to clasp your hand,
One last time, and pull your head closer,
For that one last kiss.

But her body slumps lifeless,
Moments before your lips make contact,
Never to be had.
She’s been taken,
From you, from your life, from her dreams.

Think of the time you wasted,
When you took her for granted.
Apart, Apart,
Now you’ll never be together.
Happy Valentines Day.
