Thread: New & updated for Mark

Gir, I enjoyed the poem you posted. I have written my fair share of poetry and I know that sometimes it just flows without any standards. "Freesyle." Sometimes spelling and grammar make it more readable and enjoyable. Sometimes artists purposefully insert mistakes in order to draw the reader to them, but in this case, unless there's a definite reason to have them in there and you're sharing them with others, it just makes it easier on all of us

The reason i had Seeker delete my account btw is because i have no friends here.

If Nes, being Gir's friend, acknowledges that Gir has an affinity for over-reacting, maybe Gir, being Nes's friend, should actually pay attention to that and realize she should lighten-up.

Second, I think it is important for an artist to understand, doesn't matter what your skill is, how to seperate constructive criticism from insult. Ignoring someone's constructive criticism, while calling them ignorant for giving it, makes You not only ignorant, but a hypocrite. I'm not insulting you, I'm just saying that is what you're being when you do things like that.

Whether you decide to keep \"not caring\" about what other people say is up to you, but as an artist, you'll never grow without being able to recognize good advice when you hear it, without completely losing your mind.

& Mark, i got upset w/u because it takes a lot for me 2 post my writings, on every other site but this i normally get friendly feed-back. i felt attacked & thought it was rude...
if u want me 2 admit i'm an insecure individual & all that i dun' back down.
i think its dumb people r rubbing in the obvious in my face.
why do u think i see a shrink & take anti depressents? i know i'm an idiot & everything
but coming 2 this site doesn't help me one bit because u all just slam back in my face

I was once in your shoes, too. I know what it is like to feel alone & all, b/c in 7th grade, my only friend moved away, & all people had to say to me were insults, & they would threaten me & beat me up as well. It wasn't pretty at all, especially when the church b4 Crescent View completely rejected me.
So, I know exactly how you feel, & I admit it was hard for me to make friends on this site at first, but once you get the hang of it, you will feel at home on here.

I am sorry you feel that way...I would notice if you disappeared though, after all, you are one of my friends, & you sent that cool PM a while ago (I loved it!!)

And I kind of have the same attitude for the people at my school..it kind is the same as yours, except, they will only insult me worse if I end up getting a guess of something right, or win a game like lottery bingo....and yes, they call me psycho!!

Look, I'm sorry that you're having problems, but if you post your work on a public forum you should expect that it will be subject to scrutiny. Especially considering that's the whole point of this section of the forum. I don't think you're an idiot, either.
