Make modern art in 60 seconds and act like it's real Art.

Basically make 'art' in 60 seconds and act like it's modern art with a meaning. I should have used more hard words like cubism, neoclassism, mental frame of reasoning and things that are partially made up. The one that first gets his stuff in the guggenheim wins.

This painting I made represents in un-interperted from of life, the basic colors are the true world that the brain turns into a world existing only within itself. The grey line represents death and how no matter how you cross, thoughout a human life it will allways hit you.

Ah I see. It simbolised the fagileness of love, while allso reffering to the connection between Icarus and daedalus and the greek god of the winds Aeolus. Hellios the sun of the god is like a rose, beatifull yet deadly when touched.

I call this one 'the working society'

The routes of all the different colours represent the routes of people in thier everyday lives. They rush, and panic, desparately trying satisfy everyone, with no success. They have no rest, and their lives are but an endless cycle of work, work, work, the lifestyle that has gripped so many people in our society in the information-technology revolution.
The arbitrary colors shop a juxatposition agiainst the grey, dull colors of the people who spend their lives in offices.

Re: Make modern art in 60 seconds and act like it's real Art

I am opposed to this myself. Because modern styles of art is my favorite expression, I tend to take it seriously.
I feel one still needs to follow the same principles of that of a typical genre that art follows.
So when I here anyone say that abstract art, modern art or expressionism is something anyone can do, kind is one of my pet peeves.

Well, I think they are talking the really post-modern stuff like having an enourmous room and hanging a piece of string from the ceiling and people being like "wow, what meaning!" or like 3 blocks stacked on top of each other.

I don't fully understand the intent of your post. Is there humorous sarcasm involved?

      Yeah it sure is

And How, I wasn't sarcastic towards modern art, more ironic towards it I mean some modern art does seem really silly. But I do like some modern art, and I don't think I really could put that much feeling into a painting. But it's just fun to rip on modern art

The ugly baby represents our self image. The parent represents the average person, concerned about their self image.

If that doesn't work try this link.

It's basically an image of an eclectic restaraunt that I chopped up and layered in Photoshop. No real meaning or theme, just something quick and visually stimulating. ~

This picture represents the meaning of life:

      Title: "Uncommon Cliché"

This picture is metaphorical for our society. The increasingly chaotic spiral symbolizes our society spinning out of control over non-issues, all the while we are oblivious to the fact that money (represented as green) and war (represented as blue) is consuming us all.
