Thread: Whats your medium of choice?

I just tried a cool Idea I had. I have had an air brush that I never use. I use water color all the time. If you are familiar with watercolor timing is of the essence. When it comes to how long you let the water sit and how saturated you want the paper. Anyway, I brushed on a flat wash on very wet paper. I then took the air brush (with no paint, just air) and manipulated the watercolor pigment on the paper through the force of air.- Good for clouds.

I am no artist but i like drawing anime pictures of my own final fantasy characters with awesome swords and costumes i really get into it but that is as far as i get into the art stuff other than looking at it.

I love watercolors! It has such a calming, dreamlike effect! I especially like drawing with pencil an object, than scribbling it like crazy (as if you are using tracepaper to trace the drawing to another paper). It doesn't matter how messed up the scribbles are, as long as you follow the lines of the drawing with your scribbles. Then, you can put watercolor over it! It's adds a very unique effect!

Anyway the quote says it all I suck at drawing but I think I am a very decent writer. I like to write songs, although I don't play any instruments, so I just write lyrics and the rythm.....

Maybe you could write lyrics for me and FFX we are toying with the idea of a band but the best lyrics that FFx could come up with was a song called reincarnation but he is more brave than i am cuz i didn't even try to write any. Don't take the time to write any untill me and FFX make the decision. Man i am getting ahead of myself. lol

I am going to take guitar lessons this winter. This will be difficult because like a fool, I taught myself on a right handed guitar and I am left handed. I am sure the instructer will want me to learn the correct way. Even if Jimmi Hendrix did it my way

Don't worry, your not the only idot...Im left handed and Im teaching myself on a right handed guitar also....

Its just that they have a lot more availible for right-handed guitarist, so Im kinda forced to learn right handed...

Oh, and as for the band, according to my calculations, me and evanescent should be on mainstream radio next summer.Then again...I was never that good at calculations..

Yeah FFx I double checked your calculations seems they are wrong by my correct calculations more like this fall.

I don't care if I mess up, I love to draw so I'll start over of course!

I'm very bored and mad cuz I've stopped remembering my dreams again. Just as they were starting to get REALLY INTERESTING too!!!

Although I prefer pencil I do realize where you are coming from ShortyPenguin. - pens are a lot smoother. And your approach is a very good way to improve (repetition)
As far as your dreams. Don't get too discouraged. I feel dreams come in cycles. Your bound to fall in the groove again.

I guess I'm not really that mad about the dreams thing, really, but thanks for the encouragement and all.

I think I'm just the type of person who doesn't have dreams that often but when I do, they are very detailed so s'all good.

Well I stayed up all night last night (HUZZAH for summer!!!) so that I'll fall asleep quickly tonight and i just might have more chance of having a dream or something.....I guess I'll call it an experiment.

.....Maybe this'll be one of those things that I type not realizing how weird it is until I read it afterward......(reads the last paragraph)....yep.
