Thread: Infiltration World Cup.

The year is 3064 and life is the same as it has always been since before 2000. People still go crazy over sport. However, sport is much, much different.


The kitchen seemed empty. I raised the sight on my gun to my right eye. Things were never as they seemed, I thought to myself. The orange tint of the motion sensing lens glistened and I twitched 5 degrees clockwise. I opened fire and the body of a young man appeared, bullet ridden. He dropped to the floor and dissapeared in a flash of blue and green rays. I lowered my gun and was overcome with joy. I had won the infiltration nationals! A flash of white light signalled the end of the match. I appeared back at the lobby. A small crowd had gathered at the spectator screen and was now looking at the teleportation platforms. I raised my arm in the air and the tiny crowd cheered and chanted. I looked towards my oponent. He returned the look. I could see he wasn't happy. I walked down the "Victory Lane" as they called it, to meet my new team for the World Cup Team Infiltration tournament.

"Nice to meet you Rooke. I'm Clyrce, our melee specialist, and this lovely young lady here is Peta, she'll be our medic. And last, but not least, your new best friend, Narn. He will be your support." Clyrce gestured Rooke towards the change rooms.
"Let me show you your new uniform." Rooke followed Clyrce with anticipation. He knew that the World Cup Infiltration uniforms always looked cool.
After trying out his new uniform, Rooke asked about the equipment funding.
"Ah, yes. I have yours right here. One hundred thousand dollars. Now, remember you must spend this on equipment only. The remainder of the cash must be forfeited to the officials. So, go and buy your new equips and we will all have a free for all match."

I arrived at the Dark Vortex retail store. I walked in and asked for the clerk for the latest equipment. He quickly gathered up a 2mm 100rps ShredderMaster Mk. VIII, 5x 1000 round magazines, a Urin III Incapacitator diamond blade flick knife, Seamless Dissapearance invisibility cloak and the latest full body suit, a Harrington Hardened Mercury Set. I took the expensive equipment and payed the 89,000 dollars for it. I returned back to the arena lobby where my new team were waiting by the teleporters. I stuffed my equipment into the equipment teleporter and got in place. The strong vibrations came as I was instananeously(sp) whipped into the virtual arena. The countdown began as I equipped my freshly teleported gear. 10. 9. 8. Came the epic, booming voice. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Begin!
