Well, all the viewing of the Artist's Corner that I've done lately got me to wanting to draw some more. So tonight I got down my old sketchbooks to look through, for inspiration. And lo and behold, I found some old drawings that weren't too embarrassingly bad.

So I figured I'd share them. I honestly don't know how old these are, but at least three years, I'd say. Maybe more. Some are slightly childish, some are better. I saved the best for (next to) last.

It's a tree, in a pasture. Not too bad, but not my best.

Another tree, in another pasture, how scenic...

A Morning Glory, which I must have drawn from the ones in my backyard. They're really just weeds, but they're pretty ones.

This one I like, though it's not quite proportionally correct. I remember when I drew this, think I was eleven or twelve. I had just gotten a book on drawing bugs. It's a yellow jacket.

I seem to remember that this was mostly just an experiment with shading; maybe to get a feel for new pencils?

Some sci-fi cyborg thing I drew at some point.

Some damascus ceremonial dagger...

And a piece I'm actually kinda proud of;

A pen and ink zebra I did a long-ish time ago, I'd say four years maybe. I actually did that freehand, shading first, after doing a bit of looking in a drawing book on animals. I did not at all follow their guidelines, but rather just...drew. I like how it turned out, though I kinda think the neck needs more shading, to indicate the head turning a bit, so the angle would look right. But hey, that was years ago.

Oh, and this one I did just the other day/week, and since I only remembered it after I shut down the computer the scanner is hooked up to, I just took a picture of it with my webcam and cropped it.

Another pen and ink, of a random ex-military guy off the top of my head. This is the only way I can draw portraits, with the sunglasses and long hair, oddly.
