Thread: Loafs Attempt At Graphic Editing + Hand Drawing

I've always wanted to be able to produce art, but I've never been very good. I just generally suck at it.
I had a go at drawing then editing it with a computer. Here is the result. I'd like some feedback so I can produce something at least half decent, mainly just for fun and for my DJ once in a while.

I had another try at something. Inspired by a dream also, as are many artworks here.

I like them both, but I prefer the first one.

Hmm, I tried something a little more strange here. Its based off a spiraling vine-like rainbow I saw last night. Kinda reminds me of a parasite or something microscopic.

The third one is good.

Just keep at it is all I've gotta say-- criticize yourself, explore different styles (which I see you're doing, which is good), and you'll get better and better. Keep it up

These are really good! I am also trash at art, and I have always dreamed of making something good, and admiring my own work. When photoshop came along I had a chance to do so.

Above all, your work is great. I love the microscope/bacteria/dna type image.
How did you get the little bubble shaped things there?

I used the brush the create the stem. I used different tones of red over the red stem, then by using a filter bordered the color changes.

"Nightmare Audience"

I like the crazy perspective of the drawing in your first post. Very cool, Loaf.

I recommend going with something more abstract or organic if you're going to use that style. Imagining that it is not a person sitting there makes it seem far better. The textures themselves are great but I don't think a cartoony person like that makes the cut with it.

That's some cool texture though.

I'm loving how you're not sticking to one thing but exploring the spectrum and trying new ways to go about that which you're experimenting with, i can tell this is pure experimentation.

Sorry about that. Got confused with too many tabs open and it being bedtime and all.

I really like the first picture you did, and then the one with the squiggly spirally tubelike light/colors.
