I'm having trouble waking up without moving in the middle of the night, which some of the lucid dream techniques need you to do. My alarm has to be turned off and that involves moving. I don't have a CD plaing clock nor does my phone turn off on its own. Any suggestions?

This used to be a huge problem for me. The only way I fixed it was by telling myself everytime I woke up "don't move next time you wake up." I know this is kind of shitty advice, but it worked for me. Other than that, I have NO clue how to fix that.

Thanks, but I'm a pretty deep sleeper. I often have absolutely no recollection of waking up at any time during the night. I don't want to spend any money on one of those special dreaming alarm clocks though.

Hey buddy, okay i already posted this somewhere but it works for me sometimes. Put your tv on and if you open your eyes when you wake up, ( every one does) then you will see the light. This is just going to help you know your awake. Stay still, even if your unconfy, just forget about it. And drift off!

Yea I can't wake up with my alarm without automatically switching off... thanks for the advice I'll try some autosuggestion tonight. PLEASE LET ME REMEMBER MY DREAMS

Edit: Riff, your solution's a bit energy consuming isn't it?

Unfortunately there's no real instant solution to this problem that I know of. As always, experience and practice is the most important.

It does consume energy, but only about 2 cents worth per hour. So if you leave your TV on 24/7 for a month, it'll add about 15 dollars to your bill.

You need a timer adapter for your alarm. I got one at radio shack, I set it to cut off power to my alarm 45 secs after my alarm goes off.
