Ok so I had this debate on another forum and thought it would be interesting to discuss here. |

We are the all singing, all dancing crap of the world
I don't have tattooes because they would look weird when I'm old and saggy!! |

I know that you'll most likely regret getting a tatoo. In a way you can think of a tatoo as an artistic scar... |

Wow, that's a hairy arm. |

I have a Mercury Wing on my leg, I've been a distance runner all my life. |

If I love a picture that much I'll buy the T-shirt. At least when I'm tired of the shirt I can take it off and never wear it again. |

I can see the attraction of some people to them, however I don't think that I would get one myself. In my opinion they seem very unprofessional. Say you had two identical candidates for a job, one had no tattoos, the other was covered in them. Which person is more likely to be hired? They give out the wrong image I think. |

I think it is actually discrimination to not offer someone a job based on tattoo's and pretty sure a company wouldn't be able to base an application soley on this. Unless of course said person had a web tattoo'd on his/her face |

I'm considering getting one or two sparrows somewhere, probably on my calf. I love birds and also, I like Matthew 10:29-31: |

I'm okay with tattoos if they have meaning and aren't just there to make you look badass. In fact, I wanna get one in a few years. I'd get one now if I didn't think my parents would be sorta freaked (to them it wouldn't seem like something I'd do). Just want one or two little ones that are symbols of things I believe in. For example, an American Flag with the name of, say, my favorite singers or something on it. There's 2-in-1 right there. Or maybe a little cross. I'd get it on my ankle or the bottom of my back (different ends of the spectrum, I know) so that I could let people see them if I wanted to or cover them if I wanted to. Hopefully people don't look there when you're applying for jobs. |

You're 15, huh? Take it from a 34 year-old. Your favorite musicians now won't be your favorites in 10, 20, 30 years from now. In fact, there's a good chance that you'll look back on many things you like now and think, "Oh my God. How the hell did I ever listen to that crap ". Then you'll look down at your arm and bow your head in shame. |

I had a crazy idea once to gaet like a barcode on my wrist on the underside, only small - BUt have the numbers as my date of birth - decided against it in the end |

I want a tatoo that goes across the top of my back between my soldiers. I've seen some cool ones with Union Jacks and snarling British Bulldogs. I'd probably end up doing something like that. |

Adopted Megabenman although he disappeared a while ago.
There's a bunch of tattoo shops in my area. I have a hard time understanding how they manage to actually stay in business. |
|
I decided on the content of my tattoo a long time ago but it took me about 5 years to get the design right. I did several different designs before I finally drew this one up. The phoenix is a metaphor for my personality and its as much a part of my body now as my hands and feet. I am sure that I will never regret the decision to put this on my body and intend to get more. |
|
I do want tattoos, for sure. I have a few plannd out already but none that don't have meanings. |
