Tell me how you download youtube music to your ipod

I have watched a video which explains how to do it and it says that it is free but i followed all of the steps but you have to register which involves paying. I have tryed everything i can think of but nothing works. Does anyone know how to get youtube videos from youtube to your ipod?

I don't know how to get them to an iPod, as I don't have one and never will because I hate Apple. But I know how to get them to MP3, which should be convertable into iPod format. Do you have a Mac or a PC? I use a couple of free software programs that only work on PCs, so that wouldn't work if you had a Mac. BTW, this is better suited for Tech Talk.

Just got my i-pod today, and am loving it. It's pretty easy to put anything on it that you have on your computer, but I don't believe you can download youtube vids... they are streaming only.

I want to use that but you have to pay £23 and i am not paying that unless i know it is gonna work. I have downloaded a few things and they haven't worked so i need to be sure it works.

Download Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ It lets you record whatever audio is playing through your computer into .wav or .mp3 format. So, if you are watching a video, or a movie, you can record the sound. I think something blocks you from saving them to .mp3 after a while though, or something. I don't remember. But, if you have a converter, that will convert .wavs to .mp3's (because they take up less space) you'll be straight.

They do not. YouTube, however, holds a lot of illegal material, that they're not allowed to have uploaded. The problem is, that they can't control it. When you join YouTube, I'm pretty sure you agree in some terms of use, to not upload copyright protected material, and basically any song in the world is protected, so there :s

Of course, if YouTube were strictly enforcing that, about 90% of their entire library of videos would be gone and no one would bother going there.

Google only take their time to take the videoes of YouTube, if anybody who can complain, complains. Usually, however, people just reupload the stuff on other accounts

You can use google for music too. Type in, " intitle:"index.of" (mp3) <insert.song.or.band.name.here> " Use periods instead of spaces when you type the band in. And no '<' thingies either. You'll get a few spam pages with this though. You can get a video on it on youtube by searching," Google is better than Limewire."

On the site where you download Audacity has a link to the mp3 converter which is very easy to download and sync up with Audacity. Another thing is that the audio quality on youtube isnt that great so I'm not sure how it would turn out. I prefer to buy my music anyway. At the top-middle of the Audacity window, right next to your volume controls you'll find a drop down menu. From this menu select "Stereo Mix". That's what tells the program where to get the audio from. It's default is set to microphone, which obviously means you'd be recording straight from the mic instead. The beauty of this program is that if you use VOIP programs, you can play music straight over the net to them by selecting that Stereo Mix option. Instead of hearing input from your mic, they'd be hearing any and every noise that comes straight through your own speakers.
