Nationalism is discouraged, Socialism is encouraged. Open trade with the world, no picking favorites when it comes to alliances with other nations.

Medical system is largely socialized, free enterprise in this field is acceptable but must follow strict laws.

Majority of government funds (taxes) go into the education system, scientific research (medical and energy generation), and artificial intelligence research.

Military development is geared towards the use of machines and computerized brains. Military is largely defensive and immobile, with the objectives being to protect the shoreline from ocean based attack, and to protect the mainland from airborn attack. Mobile part of the military is manpowered, in order to react to specific situations within the mainland. This part of the military doubles as the police force in times of peace. Offensive military is for the most part computerized, being based either within submarines patrolling miles out from the shore, or aboard space-bourne satelites bearing munitions for accurate disposal of ground based threats.

There is a mainland and a 'no-man's land' that are both parts of the country. The no man's land is an area of land reserved specifically for those who are unfit for life within a society. All those who create intollerable harm within the society are shipped here. This includes but is not limitted to murderers, molesters and rapists, those who cannot cope with the beliefs of others and commit violent or hateful acts accordingly, sabotuers, vandals, etc.

The education system is based largely upon choice. History is taught in length for a year, perhaps two. The subject areas of your choice include their own detailed history courses (engineering, electronics, design, etc.). Students are permitted to change their prime area of study after one month of notifying officials, to allow for the student to be sure of their decision.

Wars are only participated in out of direct defense of the nation.

Largest raw exported product is steel mined from advanced robotic mining operations run by private enterprise. Progralias is also home to the most advanced fabrication plants in the world, used primarily for the creation of fine circuit and chip pieces for sale overseas.

National flag is a black and white colored eye.

Basically the way the U.S. is run, except drugs would be legal, prostitution would be legal, taxes would be much lower, and a whole lot more stuff would be completely private instead of partially or totally government run, starting with the school system. Violent criminals would get much longer prison sentences, but there would be no such thing as a victimless crime.

You want to put people in prison for speaking against the government? You want the government to run pretty much everything?

For one He's standing up to the USA & west and hes not a stooge of the usa. The americans tried to pull a coup d'etat on him in like 2002 or atleast it's suspected they had a hand in it. point is Chavez has got guts and thats enough to get my support....

That's it? So you overlook his despicable evil and like him because he causes trouble for my country? By those standards, you must really love Hitler, Bin Laden, and Stalin.

All Politicians are flawed some more then others...there are lots of examples. GWB for example. I never said i love Hitler, bin laden or stalin. Chavez is not a hitler.... I think saying "causing trouble" for your country is a bit simplistic. Martin Luther king "caused trouble" for your country at the time too.

Chavez is not bad for america but he stands up to america.

Chavez provides onother voice for the people of Latin America, onother alternative to american influence (in Latin America)which too often has been quite negative

This is a how would you rule YOUR country thread, not a lets discuss real leaders thread.

Everything you have said about what you like about Chavez applies to Bin Laden, Hitler, and Stalin, except for the "Latin" part. This thread is about what kind of government you would like to run, and your only answer so far seems to be one that would oppose the United States. Do you have anything else to add?

I wouldn't say that anything Chavez is doing is hurting America, only Venezuela. Chavez's government doesn't know enough about what it is doing to hurt anyone outside their borders. The U.S. Government just doesn't like him because they could be a prime source of oil for our country but they are being 'difficult'.

Last off topic post for me.

During WWII the Nazies were off the charts evil....During the cold war the usa was the lesser of two evils. You both had proxy wars with eachother. The soviets and chinese aided and funded the VietKong against you guys and you guys aided and funded the Mujahedin in Afghanistan against the soviets for example.

Now...Its just you guys interfering withvthe worlds with no one challenge you...or almost no one. Thats the difference now. I feel alot of what you guys are doing is negative now. THe USA needs a yin to its yang lol. Like a balance. The soviet union was like the yin to your yang.

Its not just why i support Venezuela. They took control of the oil for themsleves and out of the hands of foreigners. Chavez was gutsy to do that because if you look at history, you will see leaders and countries who have nationalized their oil and other things like the Suez canal have not fared well.

Iran had a persident who nationalized the countries gas and oil resources and took control of the resources from the foreign ok company (British petroleum now called beyound petroleum) and took in the hands of the people.

THe UK responded by ousting that Iranian president from power in a coup and subsequently the pro western anti iranian Shah was put into power to serve western interests and not his own peoples.

Around the same time i bleive in 1956? Egypt nationalized the Suez canal and took control of it from the imperial british. The British responded by invading Egypt with France and israel to help them do the deed....Thats imperialism if you ask me. Chavez is fighting imperialsm. Y'know what history has taught us, the people who look after their own countries and not imperial powers get toppled. and Chavez would have ended up like that president of Iran i was just talking about if the coup in 2002 or 2003 (one of those dates) had been succesful. Thank god it wasn't succesful. that attempted coup was onother example of how foreign powers have no respect for the people of resource rich nations only for the resources.

After that president of Iran was toppled by the british the Shah came to power, i told you how bad he was and eventually the people of iran fought back and toppled him. that was known as the Islamic Revoloution, when the people of Iran threw out the Shah who served the west and not his people.

There is a country right now that has its own equivilant of the Shah, guess which country UM.

Yes it is Saudi Arabia im talking about. The head of the house of saud ie the prince (or king?) of Saudia Arabia needs to be toppled by the people. He is just like shah who served only the west and not his own people.

In the immortal words of Osama Bin Laden, Saudi Arabia needs to rid itself of that "crownless prince" in Riyadh.
