      Tell me About Graphics Tablets and Software

      Hi there,

      Recently I've been considering buying a graphics tablet and some software like painter.

      I can draw, and use real life media...and I've seen some amazing artwork (from still life to sci fi illustration) done digitally.

      Does anyone with experience of tablets and software have any words of wisdom/recommendations/advice/comments for someone who's new to them?

      Drawing with a tablet is nothing like drawing for real. At least, not for me

      In general, you can even use paint with a tablet, as the tablet should act as a mouse

      I don't have a tablet but I heard Wacom is a great company to get one from.

      If you have the money, invest in a TabletPC. They're so fucking awesome. I have one. It's from HP. Probably my favorite electronic ever.

      Hey, what's a really good Tablet PC? I want one that is pretty cheap, but really good.

      I usually see the HP Pavilion tx#### TabletPCs (The pic I posted above) in Future Shop or Best Buy for under $1000 nowadays. They don't ALWAYS have them where I live, and when they do, there is only one to choose from. Either buy directly from HP or some other site if you want more choice.
