I am a very fortunate person inasmuch that mosquitos usually pass right by me. The only exception is when I'm in New Orleans. Those Louisianna mosquitos are downright brutal

Don't scratch them- it will only make it worse. Try warm or cold compresses (can't recall which) to see if that helps (just soak a washcloth in warm or cold water then put it over the bite).
Go around your yard looking for any stale water- old pots, barrels, toys etc because standing water is their breeding ground.

If the mosquitos are bad everywhere, use some insect repellant or "Skin so soft (sp)" by Avon.

Hope the bites leaves you in peace very soon!

Good advice from Zhaylin. Also, eat lots of garlic or take garlic capsules. I usually take at least 1000mg a day, and mosquitoes don't bother me when I do. Before I started doing this, I'd get absolutely eaten up by mosquitoes, ticks, and chiggers. Chiggers still get me, but that's pretty much inevitable where I live.

Last fall (or was it the year before that?) we had a major rainstorm after a long drought, and a few weeks later, we had a humongous swarm of them. I remember that the first football game of the year was right in the middle of it. You could swat them out of the air, catch 'em and squish 'em in your hands, and you could hardly breathe without sucking a few of them in. They bit straight through my pants and jacket, and the white gloves I was wearing didn't seem to stop them at all (they had bloodstains all over them from so many squished mosquitoes.) God, it was awful!

The only thing that I've found that keeps them off is OFF! or something else with a shitload of DEET. As for treatment, either hot or cold works, and apply a antihistamine cream to it. Wikipedia has a few more of them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosquit...mosquito_bites

what is it called... calamine lotion? I'm pretty sure that's it, my mind is going blank! Well anyway, use that stuff, I went camping once and made the unfortunate mistake of wearing shorts () and basically had dabs of it all over my legs! It helped stop the itching, and once you stop itching it starts healing. Use repellent with DEET, and if mosquitoes are uncommonly attracted to you, don't go to Africa or South America. That's about all the advice I have
