It sounds like you did become lucid, but the dream just faded. It happens a lot, as you become lucid more and more that problem will fade, don't worry about it. |

I was at a gas station and I realized I was dreaming so I said, "I'm dreaming!" Then my dream got a little clearer (not much) so I reality checked and put my hand through my other hand fairly easily, but still nothing. Then I tried to spin around but I couldn't and my dream faded slowly in a couple of seconds. |

Lucid dreams, gotta love em.
I know what you mean. I've recently complained about this. I was frustrated because I started to think why do wework so hard for something that doesn't even seem real?? But then I conducted some experiments and it turns out that vividness is based on how good your dream recall is, and how good you can stabilize things. In my last lucid dream I was standing in my mothers room, and I stared at my hands. Evrything instantly became more lifelike. I grabbed the desk in the room and I was in awe at how real it was. After I awoke I recorded it in my journal. Anyways, I guess you could work on recall some more and practice stablilization techs. |

I had that same experience today. I took a nap shortly after awakening, had what seemed like a full length dream sequence and towards the end I thought "I'm dreaming!" --but it was strange. The dream continued as normal because I told myself "You're mad, you're not dreaming... this is real" and I managed to convince myself, in the dream, that it was reality and that I was having a hard time distinguishing now. It was eerie when I awoke.. |

I was on a 4 day vacation, and I didn't bring my dream journal (/facedesk), but I remembered one or more dream each night, but forgot it later because I couldn't write it down. Dang, what a coincidence. |
