      REM rebound questions for tonight.

I once again have stayed up all night in an effort to get my sleep scedule back on track. I plan on going to bed at about 10:00. I've tried to WILD after staying up all night before but it never worked. Like, by the time it's 10:00 I'm not super tired. I'm usually suuuper tired around 1:00-3:00 and have to avoid laying down at all costs. Once I'm trying to go to sleep, it's not that immediate "OMG, I'm so tired I'm just gonna fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow".

I love when that does happen. I have had times where I'll fall asleep and then go immediately into a lucid dream like experience. Not full on lucid dream but close. I wouldn't say those were WILDs since I wasn't fully aware throughout the whole process. I have also had SP and transitioning into dreams without actually going into the dream. However, those just happen when I'm actually really tired and not even thinking about lucid dreaming at all. I'm just trying to go to sleep and am basically sleeping, you know not thinking but I guess I'm not completely conked out and then the vibrations will hit me. They are actually pretty nice. Not freaky, they almost feel comfortably warm, like a big blanket, haha.

Anyways, there is the backround. I need to know how to be tired when I go to sleep. Should I read for 15 min before hand? Any tips? Any replies welcome. Thanks!

I'm the same way. During the summer I stay up until 12:00 or 1:00, and can't WILD effectively. It's 9:13 right now and I'm gonna try to go to bed soon...

Watching TV or a movie comfortably can put me to sleep, reading would probably help too. Just lay down and try to sleep. Relax and try to meditate...
