      My first fully lucid dream....

I had this one without really trying... I was just laying in bed then the next thing I new i was looking at a bush... for some reason... i automatically knew I was dreaming.... however.... even though I was able to remain lucid... it got difficult to control it.... I felt my sleeping body but I also felt my dream body.... I just started talking about how amazing it was and I felt myself starting to wake up... I tried to spin around but woke up immediately... Also.... the dream was going in and out a lot... at some points it was vivid and even hyper realistic... at others.... it was so fuzzy i wasnt even sure of anything... I guess im glad I had success but I encountered a lot of problems.... hmm... help?

First of all that's pretty good for your first time becoming lucid. The instbaility of the dreams is something pretty much all of us have to got through when we're first experimenting with lucid dreams.

The main reason its a problem is all the excitment of becomign lucid is like a shot of adrenaline, which raises your heart rate and then in turn your mind pays more attention to your physical sleepign body rather than your dreambody.

Just try to stay clam when you first become lucid, take a few deep breaths. Then for the first few times keep doing reality checks every minute or so just to keep reminding yourself you're in a dream. While you're doing this take time jsut to look around, ask yourself what you can see - togetehr these will help your dreamworld to stabalize.

Also if you don't already do it, try and find 5-10 minutes a day to practice some meditation, it will help you in maintianing a calm and focused mind when becoming lucid which shoudl help your dreams to be more stable.

When you say take deep breaths, who has to do this, the dream-me or my physical me?
