I tried WBTB in conjunction with MILD ... I failed

Well ... I've been recording a dream journal for the last week (ever since I heard about Lucid Dreaming). I have also been doing reality checks here and there. Last night I woke up after 6 hours of sleep. I drank 1/2 a glass of coke and read about Lucid Dreaming for about 35 minutes.

When I was lying in my bed again I recited in my mind "Next time I'm dreaming I will recognize that I'm dreaming and will attain Lucidity". I repeated that for a bit and then started imagining I was in a dream I had the night before. I pretended that I had noticed a dreamsign and gained awareness. I then imagined all the cool stuff I would do. I kept repeating this until frustration set in.

I could not get to sleep for an hour! By that time I had ditched MILD and was just begging for NORMAL sleep.

Before you get into bed repeat 100 times I am going to know I am dreaming. It will create a note in your sub-concious and force you to know you are awake. Not really, but it should help you remember.

So many variables, so little knowledge.
