      sub-dreaming images

Okay, so this happens me almost every morning when I'm laying in bed, I'll wake up, sometimes from a dream sometimes not, and close my eyes, in a few seconds I notice a scene, usually I'll see the rest of my room as if I'm laying on my side with my eyes open, except they're closed, usually these scenes are quite vivid, and I'm aware, but I'll wake up soon after I realize they're there. I realize this sounds like DEILD or morning WILD, but whenever I did either of those, my experiences would be different, then again, maybe it is DEILD.

My question is, how can I hold on to these images long enough to plant myself in the dream? Like I said, once I become aware that they are there, I'll wake up and lose it. Whenever I realize it, I try to calm down and let myself fall deeper into it, but I usually end up waking up anyway. Or maybe, when I wake up it could be a false awakening, I'll do a RC next time to test it out. So does anyone have any ideas on keeping these images steady and let them grow into a full dream without waking up? Or have you ever had this happen to you?

Edit: I meant for this to go into Attaining Lucidity, so if someone can move it Thanks, and change the title to sub-dreaming images please

I was just about to make a post about this. I had one of these last night. I was awake and and aware, but my eyes were closed. An image of a room in my house faded in. I got excited but tried to remain calm and turn the image into a dream. But I woke afterward. Something I'm going to try the next time this happens is saying a mantra. Not sure how effective it will be, but I'll post results
