      Motivation for WBTB

I have extreme trouble waking up in the morning... For WBTB too. My alarm will go off, and I will just hit the snooze and then I will unplug my clock.. And go back to sleep... It's almost like a reflex and I can't help it.
      Goals:
Consistently for two weeks recall at least one dream per night [ ]

Day-um. I've the exact opposite problem. I wake up, then can't get back to sleep. I need to invest in some blinds :3

You should try reminding yourself to wake up while falling asleep
Controlling my feelings for too long,
Forcing our darkest souls to unfold,
      Pushing us into self destruction.

They make me dream.... Make me dream, your dreams.
They make me scream.... Make me scream, and scream.

Something relatively simple that I've found helps me, when I think falling asleep too quickly is a problem: just set up your WILD alarm (or your morning alarm if you have the same problem then!) on a dresser or something across the room. This forces you to actually get up and turn the alarm off. Once you're actually out of bed, it's a lot easier to motivate yourself to wake your mind up, I've found. Another idea is drinking a glass of water just before bed, so your bladder is full when your alarm wakes you up - hopefully enough that you can't get back to sleep without going to the bathroom first!

I haven't tried FILD, though it certainly seems like a viable possibility too. I might go with that tonight.

Yeah, FILD is tailor made for people who like to knock out quickly.

CrimsonStorm kinda hit it on the head there, nothing will motivate you more then a blaring alarm across the room, you simply have to get up and turn it off.
      22 DILD's
      4 WBTB's
      Total= 26!

True, but most people will just walk back to bed and knock out right away anyways.

Something I read online that may or may not help: set your alarm to go off at various times during the day and, every time you hear it, jump to your feet immediately. That way, you get into the habit of getting up as soon as you hear your alarm.
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

      Hey
      I agree with Elucive...
FILD is the technique for you...
I think it's useless to try WBTB or WILD,as you'll fall sleep too fast...

The idea is to remain in a constant state of departure while always arriving..
