Idea: Inducing Lucid dreams by training your brain by.. gaming

So there are games where you can train your mnemonic memory with along with other parts but you will need to develop this part for MILDs etc.

So by playing these games training that part to an extraordinary level, it might make it really easy to MILD, what about it?

Can someone try this and let me know?

what type of games are you talking about, do you mean a game for this very purpose. I do know its a proven fact that playing video games improve dreams and dream recall and dream control.

Really? Do you have a source? I've just noticed that video games/computer use tend to make my dreams...more like them. I hate to mention world of warcraft, but when I used to play, I had dreams of being my character. As a kid, I had nightmares about Duke Nukem II..hah.

Googling 'mnemonic video game' just results in games based on the movie Johnny Mnemonic.. I'm not sure what kind of games TC meant.

Which games train one's mnemonic memory, though? Basically MILD is based on prospective memory (i.e. remembering something you intend to do in the future), so if there were games that practiced and developed that kind of memory, then yes, they would help. I don't know offhand of any such games, though, and I've been playing games since I was 6 years old. I've noticed that games have improved some things, like my reflexes and hand-eye coordination and such. But memory? Not really.

I'd be willing to try it out, though.

And yeah, back when I played World of Warcraft, I also had dreams about my characters. I had many Zelda related dreams, as well. Heck, I've even dreamed about Phoenix Wright for crying out loud.

yes Im wondering the same thing, what type of dreams would help with MILD. Also I have had many dreams involving all types of games, one particularly cool was when I was the ninja from the game N+
