Also when i had those lucid dreams i started panicking that i wouldn't get out of them, wil it happen again?
Lucid Dreaming can be a bit unpredictable. It seems that you need a certain surge of Consciousness Energy to really bring on a vivid Lucid Dream ( a lucid dream that isn't particularly vivid is not qualitatively different from any ordinary dream). When that vivid surge of Consciousness Energy hits during a dream, it really doesn't matter much whether you were doing Reality Checks or not, it just seems that you simply know you are dreaming. But without that Energy, then even the most obvious clues go unheeded. For instance, I know with every fiber in my being that I cannot levitate in Real Life and that I can only Levitate in my dreams. But if the energy is not there and I begin to levitate around in my dream, no Reality Check would matter -- I would simply just believe that suddenly I was able to levitate for real.
But Reality Checking may have its usefulness. It tells your Higher Dream Self that you want Lucid Dreams, and so Lucid Dreaming is put on the Program. But if you REALLY want to do something useful, put together a Lucid Dream Checklist. Decide what you want to do and memorize it. REALLY Memorize it. You see, although you have a consciousness that is similar to Waking Consciousness, it is not quite the same thing. Words, Phrases, Prayers, Mantras, that are right on the tip of your tongue when you are truly awake, can be a bit confusing even in the most Lucid of Dreams.
The Reason a Lucid Dream Checklist is SO important... well, just read through some of these pages. If I had half a dollar for every wasted lucid dream I've read about here, I'd be rich. You should decide what you want from your Lucid Dreams and plan for it.
Also, having a Lucid Dream Checklist helps your Higher Mind design the appropriate Lucid Dream. You know, Dreams are a product of Intelligence and they have to come from somewhere, and they must take time to formulate. What everyone says, about how we only use 10% of our Brains... well, that's all Bullcrap. Our Brains and Minds work at about the rate we expect and take about the time we would expect. Our Subconscious Mind needs time to create a good dream. So after you decide upon a good Lucid Dream Checklist, don't become discouraged if a few weeks go by without the appropriate Lucid Dream. It simply takes awhile for your Personal Dream Production Studio to get the Lucid Dream 'filmed and in the can' and ready for play. If you change your expectations while all of your Higher Mind had been mobilized around a theme that you suddenly decide to abandon, then you shouldn't be surprised if your Higher Mind simply dries up for awhile. work with your Subconscious and it will work with you.
I once had a dream which showed me a Symbolic Presentation of the Workings of my Higher Mind Dream Studio. It was like an old black and white movie. It showed this smokey news room with about 30 guys wearing those old fedora hats that everyone wore in the 30's and 40's. Half the guys were pounding on typewriters and the other half had their feet up on their desks, talking and BSing each other. Work and pondering, ... pondering and work. That's where dreams come from. So to have good dreams, you have to learn how to work with those guys in that crowded smokey office. Piss them off and they'll all have their feet up on the desks, and nobody will be typing away for that Big Dream you keep changing your mind about.
