      Half Lucid

One more thing I want to know is whether it's possible to be half lucid or not, because for the past few nights, I feel like I can control my actions, and I realize im in a dream, but I can never reach that level of conciousness to where I can think or change my environment. Understand? I feel like I havn't reached full lucidity. Is it strange to have this kind of problem? Or common?

Perfectly normal, my friend. This happens all the time to me, where i can almost change the outcome of the dream in small ways! Work on control. and just excersize and try all different kinds of techniques to help you gain a 'high' lucidity level. When you do, you will know it, its like all your sensory organs explode with feelings...amazing.

Yep your not the only one, most of my dreams are at the lower level lucidity, I may be aware I am dreaming, but I can only controll my actions and do some things. You can use magic to get what you want done =) but its only limited influence. My senses are fully functioning though, I did have one dream where I created a mountain, =). Still working on getting to that point again.

Most of my dreams are low level like you describe. I can control my actions, maybe fly or walk through walls, but haven't been able to get much control over dream characters or the environment and have never felt the full lucidity that lowercase describes.

In a paper by Laberge, he said something to the effect that there are two dream contexts - a lucid dream context and a subconscious dream context. Both are fighting for control of the dream and if you get distracted by the subconsious dream context (environment and other dream characters) you can lose or lower lucidity as the dream progresses. This often happens to me. So, my plan for my next LD is to try to ignore the dream characters and find my own space without distractions to experiment with my senses and see if I can achieve and maintain a good level of lucidity.

Would appreciate any other ideas on how to achieve higher levels of lucidity and control.
