      Exercise and dream recall

I've been lifting heavy weights and seem to have gone from a need of 5 hours a night to about 9. My recall has dropped considerably as I always wake in a daze. Has anyone else experienced this?

I was thinking about trying biphasic sleeping because I hear you can sleep less and recall more. Has anyone tried biphasic sleeping as well?

      Thanks!

I just started lifting weights a few days a go (weight bench for Christmas) so I haven't really had much chance to notice but I'll work out tomorrow and see if my recall's any worse.

ive been lifting weights for a while now, but i just started getting into lucid dreaming not too long ago so I can't really say from personal experience if lifting weights will affect dream recall but i wouldn't think it would since exercising is a great way to relieve stress and its really good for your health as well. so if anything i would think it would only be better or not affect it at all. though it is important to get a good nights sleep when you exercise so i think as long as your getting the right amount of sleep your fine.
      Goals:
[] Meet my dream guide [X] fly [ ] fly to the moon[X] fly to outer space [] Have an epic battle between me and a DC using magic [] Meet a friend in my dreams (dream share) [] Air bend [] Fire bend

Maybe you are more tired since you have been lifting weights. I have been having problems remembering dreams lately since I have been overtired and that might be part of it for you as well. I know lifting weights is good for your health and all but maybe try doing it less often and work your way up.

I just thought it was odd that in the past I have been able to wake up after every REM period and remember 4 dreams a night, and now that I'm getting even more sleep (sometimes up to 9 hours) I can't even remember the last dream I had upon waking. I'm keeping a journal and everything.

As of today I am recalling one dream a night. I still want my waking up after every dream method back though, I love waking up in the middle of the night knowing I had an awesome experience (lucid or not).
