Well, yes. The best method might be just really, REALLY wanting a lucid dream. Last week, on 3 consecutive nights I told myself that I really wanted to lucid dream. I didn't repeat it, I just told myself once, but I really meant it. I don't usually have lucid dreams, only a few per month, but 2 out of those 3 nights I had lucid dreams (during the night, not after waking up then going back to sleep)
So, it's certainly not the most 'solid' method, but if you can try to convince yourself of how great LDs are, and how much you want one, before you go to sleep, then you might find it works. You could try listing all the advantages lucid dreaming has or something.
