      Question My first WILD attempt?

      Hey guys,
Last night was my first real attempt at lucid dreaming (DILD) but it was, as far as I can remember, unsucsessful.

So this morning I was feeling pretty tired and tried my luck on a WILD.
I got to a point where I could barely feel my body, I could still move though and for some reason my hands and feet kept twitching. I could see a beach and sort of hear it but I couldn't feel it or anything.

      So here's my questions:
When your body twitches in a WILD attempt is it normal?
How far do you think I was from lucidity?

      Thanks!

Yeah it's normal to twitch during a WILD.

I don't really know how close you were because I havn't really done WILD that much, but it sounds like you were pretty close.

Awsome, maybe I'll try waking up in the night to do one then. (or is that a WBTB...oh all these abbreviation confuse me .)

      Thanks for the help

You were right there. When you can see and hear things, you are are about as close as you could get without actually being in a dream. In fact you might of even been dreaming. Some people get sleep paralysis and can't move but others don't experience it, since it doesn't kick in until they are fully into the dream. You don't want to move or anything or you will wake up fairly quickly. If you get to that point and don't enter fully into the dream, you basically want to force yourself into the dream. The way people often do it, is you just picture yourself moving and entering the dream. Try to interact with it(without actually moving), or try focusing on the sounds and images you see.

I just felt like when my hands and feet were twitching, that I wasn't getting any further. Since I could see and just about hear this beach for 15 mins without any change.

Thanks for the tip though, I'll try it out.
