does anyone have exprience with Galantamine

I'v recently bought the suppliment (Galantamind) which is supposed to have 4mg Glantamine and 100 Choline.

I have taken it for the past 2 nights and not only it feels like my dreams have reduced i find it harder to fall sleep when i take it, and it feels like its keeping me awake, so straight away i thought i got ripped off this stuffs fake.

so now im curious is there a chance im not using it properly or doing something wrong? first time i tried it on WBTB which went horribily wrong as i didnt go back to sleep, and last night i think i had some little shitty dream which i dont remember?

any helpful advice would be appriciated

The first several times I took *Galantamind* it worked for me amazingly well. I would wake up after about 4 hours of sleep, take the capsule, and go directly back to sleep. That way by the time it kicked in I was already asleep and dreaming, and became lucid instantly. It worked like a charm and I would be lucid at times for up to 4 hours...it was almost excessive. However once I realized that this wonderful drug would take me to lucid wonderland, it stopped working as effectively, because I would find that I would be took excited when I woke up to take the capsule that I was unable to fall asleep before it kicked in. And there is the kicker. Because if you don't fall asleep and aren't dreaming by the time this supplement kicks in, you are going to have a really really difficult time sleeping for the rest of the night because it works like a stimulant. Some nights when that would happen to me, I would wake up and take the capsule, then try to go to bed. The excitement about having the lucid dream kept me awake though. Then I would spent the next 3 or 4 hours fighting with the drug trying to let me get to sleep...and I would be in and out of hypnagogia several times and maybe a short lucid here or there...but it was nothing like how it used to work in the beginning. I spent several nights like that, fighting to get to sleep and dream, when the drugs and my own anticipation of dreaming kept me awake. I decided to give it a rest and pick it back up in a few weeks hoping that I wouldn't have the same problem. Well I still had the same problem. Again, the key is just getting to sleep as quickly as you can after taking the supplement. It only takes about 20 minutes to kick in. So the window is short, I wonder if something like melatonin would help. I'll probably try that. Anyways hope that was some help.

yeh thats exactly how i felt, like i would feel tired and sleep and after i have it i would have that excitement and mind chatter that didnt let me sleep, and when i shut my eyes i would stay awake till the last molecule of conciousness right at the line where REM begins and it wouldnt go further so id become more awake this process would repeat several times. what you said prety much explains what i exprienced.

So your saying i should just have it at the point where im struggling to stay awake or set alarm for 4am wake up have it then sleep right away, as when i go to bed sometimes it takes 20 minute to fall sleep sometimes 2 hours, and im pretty sure i was awake a good hour or so when i tried it as i couldnt go to sleep. Also i take it as it might be a good idea not to think of it too much to loose the excitement (well i ahve no excitement now after 2 failed attempts).

also you know when you buy similar suppliments how they often have a very strong smell when you smell inside the bottle, did yours smell? as i bought 2 suppliments form iherb, (choline & inositol) which does have a strong smell just like most similar products do, but the Glantamind actually doesnt smell at all so i thought that might be another indication it may be fake.

but thanks that was actually very helpful as there is a chance i was doing it wrong.

My GM never had a smell either. Also I'm pretty sure that Galantamind already has choline (mine does), so just check and see that you aren't getting a double dose of choline with your other supplement. But yeah, set your alarm to a point in your REM cycle when you will be really tired. This would be earlier than you might set it for a WBTB. Like maybe even just after 3.5 or 4 hours. Wake up, take the capsule, and just go right back to sleep. Don't even think about lucid dreaming or that you just took a capsule. That was how I got it to work best for me. That way...I would go to sleep and in about 20 minutes the GM would kick in while I was asleep and instead of waking me up it just got me really really into a solid lucid dream. I'm like you though I often have trouble falling asleep. When I got to bed at night sometimes I spent 1 - 2 hours trying to fall asleep normally. Melatonin helps though. It lowers your body temp to help you fall asleep quicker. So maybe when you wake up to take GM also take a melatonin to help you get back to sleep. I do want to try GM again, but my capsules are like 4 years old or something now, and I was just looking at them and they have turned from powder to a wet mushy substance. So that can't be good. I'll probably buy some new ones.

actually your advice worked. what i did was i actually took 2 x (choline & Inositol 250mg each) it made me very relaxed and sleepy and i took out one GM and put it by my bed with water so when im at the half sleep stage i could take it. Then watch this very usefull hypnotising video which cleared my mind and i siad too myself who cares if i have LD or not and fell sleep. I had long dreams 2x LD but they didnt last long cuz always somehting happened that made me fly around etc etc and from the excitement of it i woke up. anyway in the morning i realised i forgot to take the GM.

however i was very sleepy still after i had woken up in the morning and it got to the point my eyes were closing so i said what the hell might as well experiment now, so took it and went to bed again same problem again i remained sleepy with my eyes close but would not go into full sleep or REM. i might rip off the label so im not reminded when i take it. But it almost feelslike the drug is made to prevent you from sleep lol
