NyQuil as an aid for LD or recall

So im just curious if anyone here has tried using NyQuil as a lucid aid or to help with dream recall. I have a friend who has never heard of lucid dreaming and never really pays attention to his dreams. He said he has taken Nyquil 2 nights in a row and both times remembered some wierd dreams, the next day he didn't take it and didn't remember any. Then the day after that he took it and remembered a dream again. Im gonna pick some up myself and see if it helps. Anyone have similar experiences?

I wouldn't recommend taking "NyQuil" unless you really need it. Just taking it to trigger lucids is a bad idea. You can suffer from side effects or overdose, etc. It'd be better to stick with more natural supplements. Herbal tea before bed helps me. -Chase

Wouldn't this make dream recall more difficult since NyQuil puts you into a deeper, more conked out sleep?

I really have no idea, just my opinion.

It doesn't matter whether or not this helps with anything dream related. Taking it often is very very bad... Don't do it.

No, it doesn't help for LDing at all, because the stuff knocks you the hell out, thus decreasing REM and increasing deep sleep.

Yes have to agree. I took this while having the flu it was like one of those medically induced comas. I put my head on the pillow and the next thing I realize is its morning and the sun is up. Not sure what they put in that stuff but you better be in bed when you take it or you'll wake up on the floor lol.
