I'm starting to Lucid Dream now, I've had 3 in total. My first was a few weeks ago. And I had two in one night 2 days ago. The only problem I have is staying Lucid. I tend to just lose lucidity within 10 to 15 seconds. I've heard this sometimes happens your first few times with Lucid Dreams, but I just want some advice on staying Lucid. And no, I'm not freaking out when I realize I'm dreaming. I'm always calm and relaxed, I just either black out and go into some other dream and lose lucidity, or wake up. |

Thanks for the help. I'll try to keep that in mind for tonight. And one thing I noticed now is that now I start to have LD's more often and like, I just know I'm dreaming for some reason. It's not because of something bizzare, it's just that I somehow know I'm dreaming and I forget to really grasp what's going on. |

Do a RC right when you realize that you are dreaming. Make sure it is clear in your head that you are dreaming, and remember that it's a dream and not reality. The second your mind excepts what you are seeing as "real life" then you will go right back to dreaming again, thus losing control and no longer having lucidity. Aside from waking up, sometimes we can't avoid this since most of our lucid dreams occur towards the end of a dream or R.E.M. cycle so you were likely going to wake up anyway. -Chase |

"Turn around and you will see. Life is like a roundabout. A kind of LSD."
Something that I do, is voice commands. I find this works for me the best, just yell out "CLARIFY THIS DREAM" or something, and like someone else said, try to initiate all of your senses, pick things up, etc. This helps me too |

Okay here's an interesting thing that helped me. When i became lucid, the Dream Characters had fuzzy faces (they looked kinda scary actually) and it was kind of freaking me out, as they looked like ghosts. I then tried an interesting thing to make the dream more vivid and to strengthen my lucidity. What i did was focus on a gate that was opposite me and looked at it. I tried to zoom into the gate and tried see if i could read tiny writing on it. The focus somehow resulted in my surroundings becoming ever so vivid, and as a result i maintained my lucidity. (obviously there may not be a gate in your lucid dream but i suggest you focus carefully on any thing in the dream and see if u can find the smallest possible detail to focus on) |

try being conscious on your breathing while lucid. helps to stabilize the dream or surroundings. in my experience at least ^_^ |
