Who said that it was supernatural powers? Ok I will explain how this works realistically. What you do is set your goal to do something. Say.. If wanted to get a new TV for cheap. After I set that in my mind my subconscious will guide me by controlling my actions and choices unknowingly to me. My subconscious has already gathered all lost information and memories that I haven't consciously noticed. Like say, if a few days ago I was walking by a store and in the corner of my eye it said something about a cheap television. But I didn't pay attention to it, it just came into my vision. OR if you heard someone say something about a TV but you didn't consciously listen in, but your subconscious did. Now that it has all that information you have to go with whatever impulse you get. So I just start walking almost random directions, BUT my subconscious is actually guiding me to where that TV may be, based on all lost small unknown memories and observations. So you will walk right towards to what you want at the right time. I feel that the title from that book of this technique "law of attraction" doesn't really fit what this actually does, since your not attracting anything to yourself, you're just going towards it.
I'll tell you what you need to know.
Right now, you believe that you can't lucid dream. That is the reason why you don't lucid dream.
Now if you DID believe you could lucid dream, then you will lucid dream.
You control you're mind, not other people that tell you it's hard. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS STOP HOLDING YOURSELF BACK.
Just because the speaker made an irrational example it doesn't mean that the whole "theory" is invalid. If the speaker applies it in an irrational way it's only his fault, not of the theory itself.
The point though is one: in the thread this is meant to be applied on dreaming. If someone wants to "prove" the effectiveness of this theory applying it to the "external reality"... of course is going to fail, you can't prove it. The whole message of the videos is not about getting parking spots, but changing your attitude towards yourself since the reality we experience is always influenced by our inner state.
Had three dreams last night. They're getting a lot more vivid and I became kind of lucid in one of them because of the speed I was going, it was creating a lot of g-force which made me think it was a dream. I didn't get my thoughts straight though, there was so much going on.
I didn't really do anything before I went to bed. Just kinda thought "Of course I lucid dream" and drifted off :D
yay had 2 lucid dreams today. my first one i was a kid again and i was talking to my mum upstairs and i said wheres dad and she said jacks in that house across the street. i then said your not my mother and my dad isnt named jack so jumped threw the window and started flying. The second one i was in my street and i saw this ladder up on the side of this house and i jumped and kicked it and it fell on top of a car and i thort oh shit i better get out of here so i jumped really high in the sky and did a RC whiles in the air lol x

I had 2 lucid dreams today as well, was dreaming about having a school project but i got mad because i couldn't understand what i had to do. Then i started eating dart arrows and got in to a fight with a friend who tried to stab me so i took his knife. After all that crap a war started, our leader got stabbed and he had a tiger face, his girlfriend was crying next to him and they had a bondage relationship. Alot other weird shit happened lol.
Yeah, seriously, the purpose of this thread wasn't about parking spots. This is about dreams. And no restraints need apply to dreams ;D
Btw, Silverbullet, AWESOME news.
I've been keeping my belief up vigorously for the past few days without lucids, but never giving up, and last night I got the first lucid I've had in months. It was my longest lucid too. :D Not only THAT, I remembered 4 dreams in the morning, which is the most I've ever remembered yet.
This really does work wonders.
this does work u got to really beleave it and be patient its taken me about 2weeks i got aload of bad thorts
I thought I would add this.
A lot of eastern philosophy focuses on "action through inaction", "doing without doing". A few weeks ago I had an insight into this, and now, reading this thread, it clicked into place. Removing one's self/rational mind from the equation is the key to unlocking those special states of mind, which cannot be induced, only found. One of these states may be the ability to have lucid dreams at will, effortlessly. The rational mind may apparently then be brought into the equation, but only once it realizes the benefit of the "action through inaction" kind of techniques.
Here's an excerpt from "Tao Te Ching". Arguably verses 15 and 16 contain the key to that state. It is a riddle, but those verses are the clearest and closest to "instructions" or "how to". Check them out as a roadmap to inducing those special states. Tao is but one state of many.

The goal here is to create a 100% reliable technique. With this insight I'll try again.
2 days ago, I tried to set my "inner alarm clock" (like said in the video) to wake me up 5mins before my actual alarm clock. Worked perfectly. But it didn't worked when I tried to induce a LD with this technique. =/
I'm not denying that the technique could be effective for lucid dreaming. I just think that the guy in the video blew the whole point out of proportion to the point of it supernatural. I have problems with some of what he said, but I understand and agree with the conclusion for the most part.
hmm, I had total 3 lucid dreams since I used this technique... I think I need to 'believe' stronger. but my regular dreams became more vivid and last longer than before and I'm starting to dream semi-lucid dream mostly!!
I finally got around to 'properly' trying this thing out and had a dream in which I literally got lucid out of nowhere. I mean, I did no reality checks, didn't notice anything odd... I became lucid.. just like that.
Too bad it didn't last very long.. I got excited and woke up.
Okay, now I need to have an LD which is longer than five minutes, that is my next goal.
I have some problems using this technique. I'm not completely new to lucid dreaming, I've read 3 books and had 6 or 7 LD's (within 2 years or so).
Every time I say to myself "Ok, tonight I gonna lay at the beach while I'm lucid" (like the way you guys tell us here), deep inside I know I'm not gonna LD. How can I change that attitude?
Should I also set some easy goals while using this technique?
I used to do this, but stopped because I felt silly. ._.;;
Last night I just knew I would have become lucid... 4 lucid dreams in a row. Great!!!!
Last night I let go all my thoughts before going to bed through meditation. Once fully relaxed I was still inside and from this stillness I could sense a deep power, just by letting go, by allowing form to arise and go (sounds, thoughts, feelings). From this state I set my intent with no effort and once done I just went straight to bed. Even if you don't necessarily need to meditate to feel confident, it can help you to get in touch with your subconscious without the endless stream of thinking in between. I had 3 lucids last night. Let them flow guys!! :D
yes, kinda
This guy is making a point, whenever I want to wake up around 12 in the middle of the night, I don't use alarm clocks or things like that. I only trust and tell myself that I will wake up 12am. And it works.
Me too, I have been having bad nights in a row now and because I have school in the morning, at 5 am I would tell my self "wake up at 7 wake up at 7" and I would.
Focus focus focus
I had 5 or 6 lucids this morning, half of them didn't make sense. Welp, now I've hit 200 lucid dreams.
haha, i just realized I have almost as many lucids as I have posts. THATS HOW EASY IT IS HAHAHA
