I use vista on my laptop. ....not that it really matters.. yeah. Back on point, I suppose the cube doesn't really remind me where I am and all that, it just, I dunno, keeps me in my body. You know when you watch a film, you get so engrossed you don't really think or notice the chair under you or where you arms are, etc. The cube helps me stay focused on my body, while I do things that normally make people forget. I suppose it helps while on the computer, but everywhere else, I guess it's going to take practice.

Also, how long did it take you guys after starting this method to have an LD?

Oh I see it, lol, tricky site!

So there is some hope for results tonight. Sweet. Or some results in months. Great.

Well, either way, I'm sticking with this method. Better than trying to do R.C.s every day and maybe not even having that situation come along. At least with ADA, it works all the time.

EDIT: I'l still be watching this thread, you guys are great for tips, but I have to go for an hour or so. I hope to keep grilling you for tips!

What do you mean by that? if you expect to have a lucid dream you will..so expectations are good if you expect a good thing. why leave them?

Ehh this didn't come out well lol, in regards to Origami, I feel like he worries too much about, will I have a lucid or not and, ah when will I have a lucid. So leaving expectations/worries of having one tonight or within 2 nights having one will allow for a lucid to pop up. I guess the word i was looking for is worries. I'll try again

Tip: Gauge the timeline to expect results by your trials and tribulations alone, and not those of others. SO basically Origami, you should be telling us when you expect to have a lucid dream, not anyone else, going by your feeling/any progress you're making etc etc.. with ADA try it, see what results it yields, if any... more dreams, more vivid dreams, more peaceful dreams, idk.. gauge from your progress.

Random Question: Is this scene in the OP from The Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi?
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

I just want to know.. but I don't know why.. hm.. interesting.
I hope to have a lucid within a week, if I feel my ADA has been going well.
I also hope that my dreams will pick up, as my journal has only one good entry in the last week.

Godammit! Well I DO hope I have a good set of dreams tonight, as I was, prior to my dry spell.

But what am I supposed to think for my LD? Should I just know that I will have one tonight, even though it's practically impossible to have one my first night trying ADA properly? What should I think? What do you think?

And sisyphus, I believe it was the Return of the Jedi.

it is not impossibile. you are the one making it impossibile with your point of view. anything is possibile.
try to visualise a scenario before you go to bed with what do you want to do in a dream. personally i really want to meet my dream guide(witch from what I read is my subconscious)

Ok, I will focus on what I want to achieve, and I will believe in the effects of ADA.

I also want to meet my dream guide too. I read up on them, they sound pretty... insightful. It will be cool to see who mine is. I hear people can get guides that look like them, that are really small, different colours, opposite genders to themselves, with wings..
Supposed to reflect who they are in their subconscious. Also supposed to be really hard to meet them, as sometimes they won't be found if they don't think you are ready.

I just wanna get lucid first. Can't wait for that shit. Before I thought that when I get lucid, I'm going to just stabilize then just fly. But now, I'm gonna look for my dream guide. Should be fun, find out a lot about myself.

Ok, well last night, just normal dreams. I tried doing ADA today, but I got as far as breakfast (10 mins) then I slowly forgot for most of the day. Until about 4 o clock, I took a shower and did ADA while there. I'm going to try and keep it up until I go to sleep.

Any tips? I have read all the tutorials, not much comes up there that I don't already know.

ADA does work! Holy crap! Tried ADA all day sunday (as much as I could anyway, I still zone out sometimes), and I had 4 very vivid dreams last night. This can only be because of the ADA. Last nights dreams were all about me, which is strange, as most of my dreams are through some other character, or in 3rd person "floating camera" view.

Stuff was vivid. My phone had text messages on it, I held an air freshener (lol) and a car was VERY vivid and detailed.
I also write ADA on my hand to help me remember during the day- I saw that hand in my dream (while holding the air freshener) but there was no writing on it. I'm not disappointed that I didn't realize, but it's nice to know that it is possible that I may notice it something if I keep at it.

You certainly did tell me so. I just didn't hang with it because I'm the kind of guy who can't just go with something without getting some kinda of results or feedback really soon. Now with all the people saying how great it is, and Yoda saying how great it is, and having some experience with what it can do (I'm sure last night was because of it), I will definitely stick with it.

When I become lucid, first thing I'm going to do is try to get back to the place where I flew in my first lucid- a kind a cliff place in windy weather. Would be great to go back there, but a full on flight and landscape change in my first proper lucid? I doubt it.

Yeah, I can feel myself being closer now then I was when I was doing reality checks and looking at clocks twice and waking up at 4:30. For me, none of that stuff works. I guess you have to stick with them for longer, but ADA seems to be doing the same thing, but faster.

What did you guys do when you finally got lucid and got to decide what you wanted to do? Might give me some more ideas other than fly, find dream guide and super parkour.

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT CREATE RESTRICTIONS IN YOUR MIND! THERE ARE NOOOO BOUNDARIES! I changed the landscape with ease in my, 3rd lucid I think, it was easy, I was imaginative, did something that made sense to me and voila.

In my first lucid I rocketed into the sky and free fell, felt so real and amazing, then stopped just before I hit the ground and planted my feet, brushed myself off. Now I'm trying to find my spirit guide, i've tried twice already with interesting results.. think I might post a thread on that.

I would love to read your dream journal and lucid experiences.

I'm just saying I doubt I will get such hard things done in my first lucid. I hear people on here saying their first was 30 seconds on not being able to control much, then it built up from there.
I just don't want to get ahead of myself. I don't doubt that I can do all this stuff, just not on my first ever try.

In my mind, I have no doubt that I will become lucid and do all the crazy s**t. Just not straight out of the gate. However, if you managed to fly and fall and stuff, maybe I can do a bit better than the 30 seconds of not doing anything.

      FOOL!!!!!

What is "hard"? Why let other people define what is "hard" and not hard it's a dream for fucks sake you can do anything nothing is hard, its all in your mind, your creating restrictions by listening to other people. I don't just apply this shit to dreams btw. It's not about high standards. Why don't you think you can do all that off the bat? Because of others. You are you. You make the rules, but personally I think there are none.
