      Strange

I just recently had a dream where I was walking down the street and decided to do a reality check. I looked at my watch and it said 10:31, I look away and look at it a few more times and it still said 10:31, even the seconds were staying constant! Then just to really make sure, I pinched my nose and I could breathe! But it wasn't until the 2nd reality check that I realized I was dreaming. Why is it that the first one didn't work? Wasn't the time suppose to change?

This is what few people fail to realize, and this is that it is Suggestion which gives us our Lucid Dreams. With all the Reality Checks that all of the Popular Books and the Industry Seminars have advanced as the Lucid Dreaming Holy Grails, doesn't anybody consider that dreams could behave most realistically if they tried. A Dream will not reveal itself unless it quite intends to. For instance, in the Reality Check mentioned above -- about the stopped watch... are we to take it that all dream watches must necessarily be broken?

Yes, when we buy books and go to Seminars ($300 a weekend the last time I checked) we expect to be told something, and so they invent something to tell us. But the Truth is that Lucid Dreaming comes from Suggestion, from the repeated desire to have Lucid Dreams. If we insist that we must do so by programming ourselves with silly Reality Checks, then that will be the avenue we build for ourselves. Or we could do it the direct and easy way and simply suggest that we will become Lucid during our dreams, and dispense with all the silly broken watches and nose pulling.

Ive noticed in my dreams clock are sucky reality checks, so sint reading, they seem to be normal most of the time. I think its alwys a good idea to try a few different reality cheks just to alwys be sure.
