(strange request) Create A Topic For Visualization

I have a bit of a problem.. I can visualize things VERY well, but the problem is.. the way my mind works. Its kinda like a form of visualization A.D.D. I can't decide what I really want to have in a good visualization. Any decision I make, I tend to change.

So, I'm gonna make a strange request.. and the first person to fill this request is where I'll put my visualization to (yes, meaning I will not allow my mind to wander to other thoughts).

First, come up with a situation, and a place. Describe it a bit (make details vivid as possible). Make it something everyone would know and easilly visualize..

So... have fun with this.. maybe someone else will find such a thing useful. Just if you're going to be the person to try to fufill this request, don't make it something dumb or off the wall.

I figure this sort of thing *might* work.

Well, this is just an idea I was gonna try at some point:

Visualize yourself waking up after having lucid dreams and saying something like, "Yes! I did it! I had 3 lucid dreams in a row! I can have lucid dreams at will now!"

My thinking with this one is more about really feeling the joy of success and accomplishment, and therefore convincing your subconscious that you're already an expert at lucid dreaming. So you can just expect to have lucid dreams, rather than try to have them.

Hope that helps. Lemme know if it works.

      nono, not like that.

I meant, in order for me to initiate something like a WILD.. I need a place to go, otherwise the odds are my thoughts will wander too much and give up creating a single situation.

So I litterally need a scene to create... and I'm so damn indecisive.

Hm I usually have the same problem, and so I figure that the best visualisation would be something that incorperates as many senses as possible...

      Here's one for ya:
Imagine you are walking down a beach. You can hear the waves rolling in in a soft steady rythm (in time with your breathing maybe). You pause and look out to sea, and see the way the ocean glints in the sunlight, and you feel a slight breeze. You take a deep breath of the wet, salty air and decide to take off your shoes.

Leaving your shoes in the sand behing you you run along the beach, feeling the warm sun on your skin and the sand between your toes - it's so calm and quiet that you decide to yell out, you're all alone and no-one could possibly hear you. You yell out and run around for a bit and do a few cartwheels.

It feels so good, and you feel all your stress just draining from you. After a while you start walking again, letting the wash of the sea tickle your feet for a while. You find some rockpools and dangle your feet in there, looking around and exploring to see waht you can find (this shouuld be good for your imagery, just let yourself explore). You walk along the beach and explore the seaweed, finding peices of driftwood etc (again, let your mind wander a little bit). Eventually you move a piece of seaweed aside... underneath you find a funny looking piece of wood. What is it?

You dust off some more sand... it looks like a chest! You start digging around the chest, digging and digging until finally you lift it out. What could be inside? (all the while make the visuals as detailed as possible - see the grains in the wood, the rust on the metal etc)
You flip the catch and slowly open it...

Now you can put anything inside the chest - a key, something to use, even maybe a piece of paper saying "YOU ARE LUCID" or something. Maybe it is something with special powers to make you fly... use it, explore with it...

Hopefully this might help you, I never really have used it much yet, but now I have written it out I might try it again. Yeah it's a bit corny, and like every meditation tape out there, but the key is that the sand and the wind help you experience everything so much better... i guess the key is in the details. If ur mind wanders off a little bit, bring it back by thinking of sand between ur toes....

      hope it helps

      Oops, my bad.

Well, I have yet to actually manage an official WILD, but I've gotten the furthest into it by visualizing that I'm going down a waterslide - the tubular kind at water parks. The constant motion and subtle changes in direction make it easy for me to stay focused. I just haven't quite fell asleep doing it yet...

Hope that's a little more helpful.

      wow

these two things look like they could really work well.

I like the waterslide idea, because i makes all of the odd sensations one may feel during the trasition appear as normal.

and if/when you reach the end of the tunnel and crash into the pool at the end, you'll be dreaming, and in a kickass place too!
Long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be.

Here, I'll pitch one in as well:

I am in a room. The room is a normal rectangular shape and is totally bare and empty. The only details about the room are the fact that it is painted a dark red and that there is a door. I am in this room and so is my best friend (or someone you admire). He/she comes running up to me and says "Do a reality check!" over and over again. I then agree and I glance at my digital/analog watch, I look away and look at it again. The numbers look weird or the time has changed. I tell him/her that I might be dreaming. I then hold my nose and check if I can breath or not. I find I can breathe quite easily and I look at my friend and say "I'm dreaming!" My friend looks at me with a pleased face and I head for the door in the room.

You need a simple, yet breathtaking scene that is very hard to not pay attention to.

Imagine a calm clear sea. Then, imagine a humongous, blood-red sunset, with a sun that fills half the horizon and is absolutely beautiful. Next, add something that will put you even more in awe - like several dozen turnadoes dancing far away near the horizon, like tiny black snakes... twisting and twisting. Feel the fear from that scene, which makes you feel small and insignificant. Bwhahahaha

*sigh* I'm a sucker for breathtaking, epic scenes that put you in tremendous awe...

Wow, that really is a breathtaking scene. I might give that one a try the next time I WILD. If you have anymore, please post. I'd like to hear some more of these "epic" scenes.

You could take the previous scene (minus the sun, it'll be too distracting)and replace the black tornadoes with humongous columns of dim light falling from the sky. These columns would be all around you, some closer than others, and will be absolutely tremendous - it would be like they're holding the sky. They will fall into the ocean, and when they hit, their tremendous heat will cause the ocean to boil, causing enormous fumes that look like fog or cloud blankets to wrap themselves around the base of each column - it's far away, so you can't actually percieve their movement, they seem frozen in time, and very solid (if you seen a volcano eruption on TV, for example, you'd know how solid can smoke, dust and similar stuff can appear from a distance) You could imagine the effect that the light from the columns would have when illuminating those fumes from the inside...

I pulled all that from my imagination, btw (it's a scene I envision a long time ago... those columns of light are actually energy beams from spaceships that are attacking the planet). I didn't yet have the fortune of dreaming about them. Just use your imagination, you can think about intersting stuff too
