Question Has anyone tried the Dream Machine for WILDing?

Here's the Wikipedia article on it...

If the flashing lights at Alpha Frequency (or, as far as I know a more effective frequency, Theta) can quickly induce a hypnagogic state, then couldn't it be used to quickly induce sleep paralysis for any WILD technique?

If this works, it could make lucid dreaming easier for everyone, couldn't it?

Please post if you have tried it and it works! (Or not...)

Interesting... the article says it inflicts the hypnagogic imagery on its user, but it doesn't say anything about sleep paralysis. You usually experience the hypnagogic state after sleep paralysis has set in. It would definitely be worth a try, probably best tested during one of your REM periods after a few hours of sleep. Who knows? It definitely could be something that may help induce a WILD.

My logic on the situation is simple: hypnagogia is a sign that shows you are settling into to SP. If your brain starts mimicking and creating imagery on its own, it could very well help induce sleep paralysis quicker.

That's different. I was expecting something you put over your eyes. Good thing, though, since seizures could be a big problem for some folks if the light source was that directly in front of you.
