This is what seems to be working for me so far

I have had some success with waking up in the morning and doing wilds.

After a fair amount of sleep. i wake up and simply wait till I am so relaxed I cannot move my body again. So I know I am half asleep half awake now. As I fall asleep I am able to leave my body. lol. I usally find myself in my room and the dream goes from there.

I'm getting a feel for it I think. Turning into my daily pattern.

I have done this 3 times so far.

The problem is I can't be over tired or not tired enough. It needs to be at the right time.
For example today it was very difficult for me to fall asleep. I think it was a bad day I had a headache and it effected my dreaming.

When you do a WILD, after you "leave" your body, do you just get up out of bed? or do you open your eyes and find yourself standing up or something like that? Im just curious, as I have also been trying to do a WILD..

what happens Is I start off with my eyes closed. As I fall asleep though I feel myself able to separate from my body pretty easily. (getting to sleep consiously is the hard part) As this happens I open my eyes. Ofcourse I am not really opening my eyes. I have just entered the dream world and it only feels like I have opened my eyes and gotten out of bed.

Today I tried and it was too difficult. I couldn't go to sleep. The main problem is my mind is too active and consious to enter the sleep state.Keeping focus without having your mind in this active state is difficult. I gave up and went to sleep unconsiously and had more non lucid dreams.

I think what will really help here is meditation on keeping your thoughts focused.Blanking your mind and letting yourself fall asleep that way with the goal of leaving your body once you approach the sleep state.

I herd things about static bright colors and strange sensations and all kinds of things when doing obes or wilds. None of this so far has happened with me very much I simply separate from my body After going into a stage where it gets difficult to move your body.

mind you I have only done it 3 times I have not had much experience so far.

If you relax and stay calm but focused on what you are doing, and you manage to put yourself in that position where you are fallinh asleep but you are still consious, it is just a matter of leaving your body by acting it out.

I'm convinced with more practice this will be my main method of inducing LD's. This way I don't even need to do reality checks because I fall asleep lucid anyway.

once you figure out how to fall asleep consious, and do that every night. what is the point of relaity checks and all that effort. I find it is just as effective using this and the mild method.

Hey, so i haven't been trying LDs for a while now, and i have one question, how much sleep do you get before trying the WILD technique?

      ok

      Cool,

Yeah this is exactly what I attempt to do every morning, i go to sleep around 1030, at night and wake up around 4am'ish.

Ive only had one lucid dream so far, and it lasted only a few second's got too excited or something and i woke up..dont know if i should consider it a LD at all really.

Anyway's yeah this is what I do ..however i have been falling asleep unconsiously everytime pretty much.
I do the count like 1 i am dreaming 2 i am dreaming ..around 20 or so i keep fallin asleep or forgetting where im at.

Really in a slump right now, im thinking of not doing the count anymore and just concentrate on staying awake while letting my body fall asleep ..and then see if that helps.
