      Breathing difficulty during WILD....

Everytime that I get to the point that my body is paralyzed and the normal sensations start to occur my attention is pulled to my breathing, which doesn't seem to have an unnatural pattern, but I then focus on my breathing by default and start to digress in the WILD process. Of course it's very hard now because I expect this to happen. Has anyone else had this problem? I did almost overcome it the other morning by turning my attention to imagery, but I was soon again drawn to my breathing and lost it. I guess I should add that once I concentrate on the breathing it seems difficult to breath...I can take in air fine but the act is kind of clumsy.

Yes BornToolate this use to happen to me often. Im not saying that your scenerio is the same but when I was younger I used to always regress back to breathing during SP because of fear. I also can remember the breathing sounding very strange almsot heavy and unusual by far. As I gotten older I did realize that I can overcome this by Imagination diverting my attention away. The best results of this was simple Imagination of floating away. This is the point where it becomes a thin line between OBE and Lucidity. But give it a try and you will not be dissappointed.
