      This one always gets me

Ever had this one happen? It's been the bane of my journaling for the last 3 years.

I have kept a serious, daily dream journal for the last 3 years (spanning quite a few books now!) and more and more, this one will happen to me: I'll be dreaming happily, and have an amazing, beautiful dream. I'll wake up, write it down, and go back to sleep knowing that I've fulfilled my duty.

NOT. When I wake up, I realize that I actually dreamt the whole episode of writing it down, and now it's gone, probably for good. Rarr!

      Am I the only one?

That's really annoying, but I think it's quite common. If you have a lot of false awakenings, you could take advantage of it in attaining lucidity. Make a habit of doing an RC every time you wake up, and you will magically be granted a lucid dream whenever you encounter a false awakening

Or just do an RC every time you are journaling...

Nope.. you're not alone. I HATE that (especially when I think I've woken up from a lucid dream and am writing it down)!!

I actually feel like screaming (or crying ) when I finally wake up for real and there's nothing written down and all I can only remember are snippets of a lucid!!

I've done that once and when I woke up I was very angry. I started my morning off very badly until I cooled off. I hate missing dreams like that. I would have been happy if I remembered what I wrote down.

Yea thats the worse thing that can happen. You have a great dream and you know it was a great dream but you can't remeber anything because of a false awakening. All you remeber is that you wrote something down but you don't know what it was.

I have just started to make a dream journal, so I will have to look out for that lol, sounds like it would suck, I once had a dream that I found out how to record my dreams on a VCR and I could watch them, when I woke up I was disappointed lol

That can be a good dream sign if you drink a lot of water before you go to bed. And no, you wouldn't wet yourself if your a healthy adult.
