      Question Keep have Ludid "Moments"

I've had two lucid moments, where I realize it is a dream, then wake up.
How do take a lucid moment to a prolonged lucid dream?

You should use a stabilisation technique instantly, like spinning etc. Theres some great tutorials for that here on DV.

Main thing is to stay calm and don't get too excited.

When I first started lucid dreaming I had extremely short LD's... a few seconds max. However, I have learned to relax, accept the situation, and simply observe. Go for a walk, take a look around... but stay calm. Thinking things like 'I know I'm really in bed and dreaming' will take you right out of the LD. Good luck to you!

I had the same problem earlier, especially back when I didn't even know what lucid dreaming was. Now my longest (DI)LD record is approx 1 minute, but it ended because I started to blink, thought about my waking life body and got quite excited... It's quite hard not to get excited, when you realize that you are dreaming

The most important thing you can do when you first become lucid is to stay calm. Don't think about your real body in bed, I find that causes the dream to become unstable. Good luck

Ive had 14 lucid moments... Three lasted longer. The longest was minutes. I stabilized by immediately looking at the ground and studying the texture. Then I went flying. Both good for stabilizing.

Getting excited will not cause you to wake up if you don't think it will. If it's in your mind at all that get excited will wake you up, then you will wake up. Lucid dreams are controlled by your mind, and I don't mean to constantly harp on this but; you will only wake up if you think you will wake up. Lucid Dreaming is a skill, and like every skill, it cannot be limited, it can be perfected if you truly believe it can!
