"OH ****!" lucid moments

This is dedicated to a very special moment in lucid dreaming. Have you ever done something in a lucid dream that didn't turn out like it was supposed to, and you started to question if you were really dreaming? For example, one time, I was in my backyard when a random tornado appeared. This made me lucid, and I ignored the tornado, so it went away. I was looking for my friend, and I knew if I wanted for them to appear, I could just believe they would be on the other side of a door and I could open it. Well, I opened somebody's back door. There were no lights on in the house, only the little bit coming in through the blinds. It was a creepy moment. Made creepier by the toddler sitting on a rocking horse with a small circle of light around him. He ran off around the corner, and I looked around. There was a very big man just staring at me. At that point I thought to myself "OH ****. What if this isn't a dream". But then I looked him right in the eye, and asked where my friend was. He pointed to his sliding glass doors, and there were a bunch of people in bathing suits, singing as they went around the pool with pool skimmers.

So, you ever had any moments where you've done something very stupid/ illegal/ highly unacceptable, and thought you may not be dreaming?

One time I ate an eight of mushrooms in my dream and started tripping. I turned to my dream friend and said "damn dude, it feels like I am really tripping"

and he replies:

"Dude you're tripping so hard that you can't even tell you are awake?!"

.....and i was like OH SHITTTTTTTTTTT haha

lol quite insane when u think about it eh?

however ive been interested as you can see since 2007, and joined, then took a break after posting just a few posts, then came back recently

There have been a few times I've had to do a reality test to reassure myself that I was dreaming. I use reality tests for this more often than using them to become lucid. I usually use the WILD method so I already know I'm dreaming. I'm not very good at DILDs (thank God for sleep paralysis).

Anyway, I remember one time I was looking out my window which was like three floors above the street in the dream. I pulled off the glass and someone across the street yelled at me for some reason so I threw the window at them. Then I decided to jump out of the window on top of this car parked below, but I got sort of scared that I wasn't dreaming. I looked at my hand and couldn't count my fingers so I knew I was dreaming.

Another time I was looking at looking at these chess books I have and marveling at how distorted all the diagrams were and how I couldn't make sense of them. Then I started tearing them up for the fun of it and throwing things through my window. I started to panic, thinking maybe I wasn't dreaming, and had to do a reality test.

Recently I decided to stab a pencil through my hand in an attempt to wake up from a lucid dream. I hesitated though and I had to do a reality test first.

uh yeah haha.

i was pretty sure i was dreaming, and though i wasnt sure (i had done a false awakening, but i wasnt sure at the time if i was dreaming or awake) i decided for my reality check i would dive out my window. the second i left the window sill and started falling, i thought oh shit i really hope im not awake.

i just sorta bounced across the ground, and was relieved i was dreaming!

I had one of these the other night. I walked back to my car to find two police officers searching it in the middle of the parking lot. I knew this had to be violating my rights, but I wasn't scared because there was nothing illegal in the car. After approaching the police, I realized they were planting something in my car to incriminate me. I tried to stay calm as they handcuffed me and pushed me into the back of the car to drive me to the station.

On the way there, they kept tormenting me and abusing me to try and get me to admit to doing something illegal. I couldn't think of anything, even under their painful torture. One of the cops had a sharp piece of metal jammed between the seat and my back. I eventually managed to pull it out and toss it out the window. This set them off, and they cited me for littering.

I thought to myself, "God, I wish this was all just a bad dream." Then I looked over at the two police officers to see them staring at me blankly with those creepy dead-eyed DC faces. I was so relieved, I laughed at them and woke up instantly.

I joined when the forum was relatively new and there weren't many posts. Then I started smoking pot and pretty much lost my ability to lucid dream (or have many dreams at all) but since I have quit, I became interested in LDs again and I am back!

Yah about a month ago I was in a lucid dream and decided to have some *fun* with a hot DC..... afterwards I began losing lucidity and thinking that I had actually cheated on my boyfriend. It was awful and I never gained back lucidity until I awoke for reals eeek
