All Day Awareness (ADA) iPhone App

      Hi Guys,
I've created a simple journal - like tracker iPhone app that helps you track various activity during the course of the day: food, sleep, exercise, work and moods.

It is called My Life and Performance Tracker. It will be released to an App store in a couple weeks, initially being free, then being 1$. Here's more info about the app:
My Life and Performance Tracker - Lucid Dreaming App » Lucid Dreaming App

The app is an evolution of my work with a dream journal component of my previous lucid dreaming app. I really liked the ability to find patterns within my dreams and now want to see if such pattern can be found in the waking life too.

While it is intended as a general purpose tracker, as I was using the app, I noticed an interesting pattern. My intention was to record an activity as I was doing it. This sounds easy, but very often I would notice that I'm half way through activity, an did not report when it started. This makes me believe that the app can be used to train all -day awareness by creating journal entries as you start doing an activity.

The app includes a Lucid Dreaming App - like gadget - a solar clock with sunrise/sunset. All events are plotted on that clock for the day.

Additionally, a rich history of your events is created on the history screen. This is a 24 hour pattern, which may help understand how events over the course of the day affect dreaming.

Each marker on the clock or history screen brings you to the corresponding detail view like the one below. As I was doing research about food digestion times, I noticed an interesting thing: it takes up to 8 hours to absorb 90% of the nutrients from a meal. The image below shows that the 2 bananas that I ate will be absorbed by 04:21, about the end of my first sleep cycle, thus affecting the dream. Maybe all those stories about people eating weird foods before bed are NOT exaggerated. This gives you an opportunity to remember what you ate(or did not eat) and how it affected dreams.

Overall, this app lets you track a lot more activity than the Singularity Experience: Lucid Dreaming App for iPhone, which is dream - oriented. My Life and performance has the capability of working as a dream journal (green markers below), but adds a wealth of information and helps you practice daily mindfulness. If you are looking for a free dream journal on an iPhone, check out this app when it is released, it will be free for a week or two.

Thanks for your support guys, the app is now free and will be free until the 23rd. It got 100 downloads on it's 2nd day, which I'm very excited about

I'm experimenting with ways to animate a lot of data like that from day to day to show how your daily habits are affected by:
      1) biological clock
      2) bedtime and rise time
      3) caffeine intake/motivation/etc

I have a prototype that shows how bedtime, sleep onset, rise time and total sleep time fluctuate over ~40 days. There's quite a lot of variation. I hypothesize that such changes have a profound effect on the biological clock, because food, work, and stimulants like caffeine are introduced into the body at different times. Because the human body is effectively "blind", it has to rely on environmental clues, such as feeding times, wake up times, etc to synchronize it's function. With so much variation, I hypothesize again that the body is constantly playing the "catch-up" game by trying to estimate the sleep/wake/feed/stimulate pattern of my waking activity.

Man, this looks awesome. It's a shame there isn't an iPod version.
