      More WILD questions

      1. It seems that everytime I get to the vibrations phase, the HI goes away, and it's just like... I'm vibrating, but just with my eyes closed, and no dreamy image... and try as I might, it just kinda goes away. I'm trying to visualize myself in the cockpit of some small ship or something, and it's taking me to my dream destination, and the vibrations = turbulence, but it just ain't happening. I'll work it some more, but any advice is good advice.

      2. This question is about knowing when you're in the right state before attempting to WILD. That is, suppose I set my alarm to bedtime + 6 hours, then get up and go to the bathroom... Now, I am super groggy, and would probably fail at WILD from falling asleep. If I wait a full hour and do something mind-engaging (a pet programming project of mine, so lots of brain logic going into it - might be too much though heh), I find it takes me forever to get back to sleep. I suspect it's because I was trying to do relaxation techniques and such while lying on my back, which isn't my favourite sleep position (when I rolled over onto my side after an hour or so of trying, it came along nicely).

Anyway, is there a way you can tell when you've found just the right balance of sleepyness and alertness? I guess I have to find it on my own to know the 'feel', but... any heuristics?

The vibration state is a tricky state. I guess you was kind of "not there" until the vibration hits you, then you get aware of the state your in and what you are doing and tries to controll it kind of?
The trick here is to not become to alert over what happening, this will only result in waking up mentaly from the delicate state your in. You have to continue "not being there" even when the vibrations hits you with full force. After it is finished you can try feeling yourself, carefully(dont become to awake), in the dream scenario, feeling movments, sounds, textures and so on. Try to begin walking when you are in that black void right before you get into the dream, to get the feeling of movment. Once your in relax, and dont get to eager to do everything at the same time.
