      First Lucid?

      Greetings, again.

The other morning, I woke up at 7AM after sleeing for a few hours. I tried a WILD.. I can not remember waking up or engaging in a WILD too well, but I'm sure that I did do it.

I laid there, I think I must have counted or something. I did not feel any sensations or anything, no colors, etc.
      I was out within seconds.

I then just remember being in a small red coupe driving along a highway at dusk. It was a third-person perspective, much like GTA view. It was not very vivid, I don't recall too much sound and the look of things were a bit blotchy/darkened.

The thing is, since the begining of the dream, I was thinking in my mind (was a bit different to how I normally think when awake). I was thinking of stuff like "I'm actually awake!" and all that. I knew I was dreaming. I thought "This is so sweet" and I thought that I should stop and get out of the car. I just seen the car slow down real fast, and I got out (cannot call the view of myself). My main intent was to get out and to try and fly.. Almost as soon as I got out to fly, everything slowly faded and I woke up.

Was this just my imagination and I wasn't really sleep?
I probally just slipped into sleep and then had the dream, god knows.
I'm guessing that the vivid part is a "Clarity now! issue"

Sounds like a low level lucidity LD to me.

I've had them before, where I would go back and forth between thinking it was real, and knowing it was a dream. And the 3rd person thing is not uncommon in LDs either. Once you gain more control and have longer lucids, you'll be able to switch to first person.

As for clarity, you could try shouting "more clarity!" or something like that. I find that it tends to be hit or miss with me though.

i remember my first low level lucidy, it was nothing like that. i knew i was dreaming when i noticed that nothing seemed to be going right, so i tried to fly, but i could only get my self a few feet off the ground, so i figured i really was in reality but i really wasnt.

What ophelia said. As you get more practice, those will become less common and you'll soon be able to take more control.
