      Excellent Auto-Suggestion Tool: Fonix ‘ISpeak’

      Excellent Auto-Suggestion Tool: Fonix ‘ISpeak’

With all the expensive gadgets on the market that are supposed to help Dreaming and Lucid Dreaming, the most effective tools I have found were of the home-grown variety – I would find a looping cassette player, write a script of suggestions, and then record it on tape, and then allow it to play while I would nap and sleep. Such tapes are the best kind of autosuggestion. They have all the benefits of Subliminal Recordings while being even better, since they are directly understandable and need not be extracted by some decoder faculty in our subconscious minds.

But there were some disadvantages. It would seem odd that the suggestions would be in one’s own voice, which can hardly be thought to impress us as much of an Authority (is one not often tired of listening to one’s self, and is it not true that the most difficult person one has to impress is one’s self). Also, I could never find a looping cassette player that was sturdy enough for such continuous use, and they would soon break down. Also, there was the problem of production – writing the script and then having to read it out, trying not to stutter or make mistakes.

It finally occurred to me, that there ought to be some Software that would allow one’s computer to take the place of these junky tape machines, and I was extremely lucky that I did not find such Software, but instead found this Product called “ISpeak 3.0” by a company called Fonix. One simply writes the script in WORD format and then selects its File to a Playlist, and set it for ‘Repeat’ and the program itself reads the text, in male or female voice, the entire night if you wish.

The Software comes with a number of Voices, a few from its own engineers, and some from other companies. But I recommend the Companies own “Mike” and “Crystal” voices as the clearest and most natural. During Installation, try to just select loading Mike and Crystal, as the other voices will never be used and will just clutter up your computer’s memory to no purpose. There are a few echo effects that can be used to make the Suggestions more hypnotic, as well as speed and pitch adjustments.

The Crystal Voice is the first that I will try, myself being a Goddess Worshipper. I’ve already written the script and set it up. It only took a few hours. The Software itself was less than 25 American Dollars. There are several words and phrases that come out unnaturally, but one can fix the scripts easily enough to reward sections that come out sounding awkward. The surprising thing, is how well the voice DOES manage to read well and convincingly (once the speed and pitch settings are really fine tuned… one or two increments making a lot of difference – the settings are defaulted at 50, but about 33 or 34 for speed brings it to excellence.

May I suggest that in writing your Auto-hypnotic Script, one should make free use of the Copy and Paste functions in order to establish a pattern of repetition. Each phrase should be repeated maybe three or four times.

      Thanks for the post Leo,

I've been using autosuggestion, and subliminal suggestions for some time now by creating the sounds with a free text to speech reader which does fairly good, but does not have the natural voices that this software does. Due to the low price of this software though (I found it on one site for 13.95) I now plan to use this with its natural voice.

Thanks for taking your time to share this information.

Interesting Leo Volont, hey, would you mind sharing with us what you scripted? To have an example of what would be a good subliminal script.

I like your cat Avatar. It shows their athletic prowless. But I like to see them prancing with their tails up in the air, as when they come in greeting. But yes, there is hardly anything to compare to a cat's athleticism. I had one Torti that would back away from a certain tree by about 10 meters, and then she would charge toward it, and then go up it like a rocket and in a second be up at the highest branches, and then drop down upon my balcony. It was always quite amazing.

I think my computer could use some more memory. After repeating for about an hour, the ISpeak Program begins to get choppy. But there is an option to copy the file to either MP3 or WAV Format, and so I will see if I can use one of those files in some kind of a loop. I'll look to see what kind of software is built into this machine.

The method sound very interesting, sometimes I mix sounds of reality with my dreams so i think it could work with me aswell. Well Like Kaimelar said i would like to have de script to test it.
      Thats all.

Oh, I was able to record a file into WAV format which I was able to open with the Microsoft Media Player that came with my computer. I found REPEAT in the Mediaplayer tools so that the file could loop all night. So it seems like I may have worked the bugs out of the system.

      Sample Lucid Dream Suggestions:

You will relax, and listen to this voice, and you will comply with these suggestions. You will relax, and listen to this voice, and you will comply with these suggestions. You will relax, and listen to this voice, and you will comply with these suggestions.

These suggestions go out to your mind, but also will serve to implore the Higher Mind to strive toward these same goals. You will sleep well, and you will wake up well rested, and you will have a total recall of your dreams. You will sleep well, and you will wake up well rested, and you will have a total recall of your dreams. You will sleep well, and you will wake up well rested, and you will have a total recall of your dreams.

Your Dreams will be vibrant, and your Dreams will be important. Your dreams will lead you toward the Ways of Wisdom and Nobility of Character. In your actions you will be fearless, and wise. In your thinking, you will be discerning. Your Dreams will be vibrant, and your Dreams will be important. Your dreams will lead you toward the Ways of Wisdom and Nobility of Character. In your Dreams, you will realize you are dreaming. You will be conscious in your dreams that you are dreaming. Your Dreams will be Lucid Dreams. In your Dreams you will become Lucid. When you realize that you are Dreaming, when you become Lucid, you will perform the actions of your Dream Checklist. You will STOP, that is, you will stop whatever dream action you are participating in when you realize you are Lucid. You will FOCUS on your Lucidity, that is, you will look at your hands to verify that you are indeed in a Dream, and then you will quicken your breathing to help intensify the Dream. Next, you will assume the Lotus Position by rising up into the air, and folding one's legs upward into the Lotus Position. You will then intone the (mantra of your choice).

      Notice the repetition.

This is only an example. Every individual should have their own tailored Check List, as well as certain post-hynotic suggestions that could be conducive to a better life -- fat people could suggest not being so hungry all the time. Angry people could suggest better anger management. Shy people could suggest a more assertive and confident character, etc, etc.

Oh, another thing about that Fonix 'ISpeak' software -- remember to close your Document before you open it up with the ISpeak, or your computer will fight over the use of the file and the ISpeak will lock up. But you young people are computer savvy enough not to run into half the problems that I did, I'm sure.

I had a lot of fun with it today. I cut and pasted the complete Rosary Prayer into the ISpeak and then set it in the Media Player Playlist.

Oh, sometimes that very natural robot voice will get the phrasing seriously wrong. You can try using commas and periods or dashes to get her timing and inflection closer to normal. You know, it is not odd that the voice gets it wrong at times, but that the voice does so well a great deal of the time.

Thank you Leo. I have noticed that some of my favorite, and coincidentally my most profound LD's (what the Buddhists called "Clear Light dreams" ever since over 2,500 years ago, which I'm sure you knew) have resulted from setting sail for Dreamland on the ship of Tibetan Dream Yoga. I played these tapes on "loop" mode throughout the night and was able to discern a definite correlation between my dream content and the sounds of the tapes. The example mantra you gave is excellent, I will print it and try chanting it before bedtime. A buddhist example of a chant for dream yoga which I take from Lama Das, translated from Ancient Tibetan into English is:

May I awaken within this dream,
and grasp the fact that I am dreaming,
so that all dream-like beings may likewise awaken,
from the nightmare of illusory suffering and confusion. (repeat times 3 at least)

I may eventually become patient enough to undertake the use of this undoubtedly useful gadgetry, but until then it will have to be old-fashioned chant.

      Namaste,
      John

I'd be interested to see if the 'Crystal' Voice takes on some kind of a Dream Personification.

The one problem with that software, though, is that it doesn't allow for loading in phonetics, and so one can't really have the natural enough robot voice reproduce sanskrit mantras.

I'll take one more look around the menus...

OH! Yes they do have a User Dictionary with the ability to load some funny phonic symbols. It is possible to load in words that you already know are in the system and hit a certain button to give you their phonetic description, which at first looks incomprehensible, but after awhile you get the hang of it. I loaded the words Aum, and Ananda, and fixed the word Mantra, without too much heartache or trouble.

It turns out that the User Dictionary and phonetic loading is relatively easy. They have a separate set of boxes for setting up a word's phonetics, with one box where you can load similar words or rhymes in order to see what the appropriate phonetic symbols are.

In almost no time I was able to load all of the words for the Gayatri Mantra.

And once you are comfortable with phonetics, you can go back and repair some of the english. If a particular word is being used incorrectly, or according to the pronounciations common to another region, you can go right in and fix them. For instance, the word 'seeker' sounded funny, and it did take a little while to fix... it turns out that the word 'seeker' is commonly pronounced as though it has two 'k's' -- one closing the first sylable, and a second 'k' beginning the 2nd.

Then there was the word 'spine' which sounded to short and bitten off until I loaded a second 'n'.

Then there are words that sound strange because they are pronounced correctly, when everyone ordinarily takes short cuts --"temptation" -- who really pronouces the 'p'.

Thanks for sharing your script Leo,
I just received the ISpeak program today so will be making up an MP3 file using your script with a few modification for myself. That is an excellent script.
      Thanks again.

I've been working on improvements myself. I decided to go more toward a classic hypnois induction. Below is my induction intro:

Hello Leo, I want your attention please. I want your undivided attention. I would like to put you into a hypnotic trance. I want you to relax down to the point where you are almost asleep but where you are still aware of my voice. I want you to relax, but I still want you to keep listening to my voice. I want you to relax down to the point where you are almost asleep but where you are still aware of my voice. I want you to relax, but I still want you to keep listening to my voice. I would like to put you into a hypnotic trance.

Let all of the tensions leave your body. Allow all of your tensions to rise out of your body like smoke, leaving you totally relaxed. Allow all of the anxieties of your mind to also dissipate like fog before the light of the Sun. Let all of the tensions leave your body. Relieved of tension and anxiety, you are totally relaxed. You are totally relaxed. Relieved of tension and anxiety, you are totally relaxed. Listen to my voice. Relax, but do not fall entirely asleep. Go into a deep relaxing trance, but keep some attention to this voice. You are falling into a very effective hypnotic trance. You are falling into a very effective hypnotic trance. . Listen to my voice. Relax, but do not fall entirely asleep. I want you to relax down to the point where you are almost asleep but where you are still aware of my voice. I want you to relax, but I still want you to keep listening to my voice. I would like to put you into a hypnotic trance.

Your sense of having a physical body is falling away. Your sense of having a physical body is falling away. Your sense of having a physical body is falling away. You are so relaxed, you are losing Body Consciousness, but continue to listen to my voice. Continue to listen to my voice. Let all of the tensions leave your body. Allow all of your tensions to rise out of your body like smoke, leaving you totally relaxed. Allow all of the anxieties of your mind to also dissipate like fog before the light of the Sun. I want you to relax, but I still want you to keep listening to my voice. I would like to put you into a hypnotic trance.

I will count down from ten. With each count you will become more invisible and less sensible of your body, and you will be deeper in hypnotic trance.

Ten. You are already in a very deep trance.

Nine. Your mind is opening itself in preparation for hypnotic suggestion.

Eight. Deeper, deeper, deeper into this hypnotic trance.

Seven. Hold onto this voice. Listen to this voice.

Six. I have your complete trust. Listen to my voice.

Five. You are entirely invisible now. You do not feel your body.

Four. I am now speaking directly to your Subconscious Mind.

Three. You are in the deepest of Hypnotic Trances.

Two. I have your complete attention in this Hypnotic Trance.

One. Listening to my voice and complying with my wishes and suggestions will give you complete ananda. Give me you full attention. I am now speaking directly to your Subconscious Mind.

Next would come the body of the suggestions.

Remember, that in the body of suggestions, several times in each paragraph, bring the attention back to the Voice with statements such as "Give me your undivided attention." or "You are still in a deep trance, and you are still listening to my voice".

I've noticed that if the voice continues to drone on... well, the mind wonders. If the Voice actually calls you back to the program, I've noticed that,... well, it does get my attention.

I've been working on some Spiritual Stuff, and my dreams have been moving optimistically. My Kundalini has been rather intense lately, either because of the Auto-suggestion, or because I have been conseling people about it -- when life's complications go beyond a certain point, it becomes difficult to isolate the different causes and effects.
