      Advice to lucid dream again.

I started reading on lucid dreaming about a year ago and stopped after a week or 2 of unsuccessful dreams. Until i had one today.

I had my first lucid dream between 9-10 oclock, am while i was having a nap. The thing that made me realize i was dreaming is when i saw my dead grandpa sweeping the floor, then i asked my self am i dreaming and i became fully aware. I remember i woke up when someone slammed my door closed, and when i woke up i remembered the whole dream PERFECTLY, to every little detail.

For the past month i've been able to wake my self from dreams i dont like. One time i was dreaming of my friend running down the woods and me watching from my house, i noticed he was running with a video camera, i didnt see anyone with him. I then heard pounding on my door and my friend yelled "Help im being raped!" over and over again, i then closed my eyes and told my self its a dream wakeup, and i woke up in bed.

That has been happening for a month now, i have a dream journal i started last night and it has 2 dreams in it. I usually remember dreams most when something in the real world reminds me of my dream.

I have now made reality checking by pushing a finger into my other palm and asking my self if this was a dream and imagined my finger going through my hand.

How can i have another lucid dream?

Will it take weeks to have another? months?

What can i do too improve my chances of having one.

Work on recalling your dreams first. Then pick a induction technique and just keep at it! You will start to have them, I promise! Also read The Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming. It will tell you what you need to do in order to get started again.

Honestly, it depends on the person. It could take a week or a month. You never know, but as you get better at lucid dreaming you will start to get more!

Get motivated, stay determined, and have a positive attitude! If you work on it and stay positive about it your chances will be increased. Also, I recommend every night before bed you tell yourself you will have a lucid dream.

      I have another question

How often do you have them? are you a pro?
Im worried that even if your really good at recalling youll only have about 7 lucid dreams a year. If thats the truth then i dont think it will even matter doing this.
