Four hours sleep....time to wake up and study?

I read somewhere that one way to initiate lucid dreaming is to wake up early and read about lucid dreaming and get your mind working for fifteen minutes before heading back to sleep...any truth to this? Has anyone done this successfully?
      Renewed, it fought
As if it had a cause to live for
      Denied, it learned
As if it had sooner been destroyed
Providing, deciding, it was soon there
Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there

Yes, it helps .. but nothing can replace the clean intention.

It also matters what kind a book you reed... It has to be able to helps you in redirecting your usual energies... mostly the sexual.
