Question When is the best time to do SP?

Im new to all this and when i look at all these techniques they sound good but its hard to understand whats going on when people use code words like REM, and MILD etc..
But ive read into this sleep paralysis, and it sounds promising, but when would be the best time to perform this? when i wake back to bed or before my main sleep?
      And why?
      Thanks

In fact sleep paralysis just occurs naturally every time you go to sleep you don't "do" it, just to clear this out.
Attempting to WILD and thus entering SP before the first sleep cycle (a.k.a. when you first go to bed) is nearly impossible. Better do it after a WBTB, 4-6 hours after sleep, (experiment to find out the best time for you) and good luck!

EDIT: The reason for this is that it takes too long for the first REM to kick in, plus it's duration is super short. So we take advantage of the later cycles.

Ok thanks man, i understand it now, so its just a lot more difficult to WILD before the first sleep, so tonight im going to try do it before then too and ill set my alarm for 5 hours after and ill try again, im usually way to tired to attempt anything at that stage though..

If you never tried WILDing, your best shot probably is trying a DEILD first, which is a shorter and much easier form of WILDing. Look it up at the tutorials, but the main idea is to wake up in the middle of your sleep (either alarm or intentionally -- micro-awakenings happen every night) and enter the dream directly without moving.
