      Some WILD questions

I am not sure if I understand exactly how to do WILD. I have read the tutorial and I think I have an understanding of it.

When I was younger, I read a book "Mind over Matter." It was my Dad's psychology book that discussed the subconscious and getting in contact with it. It involved the person to lay down comfortably and clear the mind. You may be like this for an hour. Focusing on breathing, you slowly sink deeper into the subconscious. When I did it, I saw swirly colors before my shut eyes, felt weird sensations, and felt like my body was paralyzed or wasn't there. Is that WILD, but by another perspective?

When you are doing WILD, do you have to clear your mind? Or can you just lay there and hope you don't go to sleep? Thanks for the help.

What you described was pretty much the process, yes :-)

      Thank you so much Replicon!

However, I am still wondering--do I have to clear my mind? You think at night it would be easy, but quiet contrare

If by clearing your mind, you mean forgetting about all your waking concerns, then definitely. Can't be racing at the speed of life AND meditating now :-).

I think the time when you do it really depends on you. If you're never tired enough during the day to take a nap, then it may be more difficult to get to sleep. Depends on how big a lunch you eat, too. I suppose you can do relaxing things that make you more tired for a bit after lunch, and then trying it out. I think the morning is generally better (or at least, better for more people), because you can control your level of awareness based on how long you've been up for. So, if you are really good at concentrating, then you may not need to get up for very long, and you can focus while you're very sleepy (which would be sweet, since you can then get to the friggin LD that much faster)... but if you're lazy about it, may have to stay up longer than an hour, AND it'll take you longer to get relaxed. I find the variables are easier to control in the morning, anyway.
