      Eyes opewn while sleeping.

      Hi, as well as having insomnia, I also sleep with my eyes open. I can be awake over a day straight (24 hrs) then sleep 11 hrs straight, then back to beign awake for long periods of time.

      But I have been told my eyes are open when I sleep, ususally a cm or two, which is strange and maybe partly to my bloodshot eyes all the time.

      I dont smoke or do pot, I think its stress. Does anyone else ever sleep with their eyes open?

      Btw, I'm 17. Muzza

      i wake up with blood-shot eyes some times, usually my left-eye, and it has the same "curve" as my eyelid when it's a little open, so yeah, i actually think i do
      i've had the same sleeping trouble as you have..

      something that might help is this (hope you dont mind) ;
      keep it as dark as you can at night, take a tshirt and fold it, and wrap it around your head to cover the eyes.
      And during daytime, take away the curtains, and let in as much light as possible.
      and if you go to bed, then stay there untill you fall asleep, dont give up, and do *not* start to think about the fact that you need to sleep, or that you want to sleep etc, that wont help at all. just close your eyes and keep them that way..

      hmmm

      I have sleep with my eyes open once. I was watching tv and extremely stoned and tired. But the tv is what did it. I even remember what i could see on tv, and right outside(light level). I was waiting for the right time to wake up, it was wild. I thought of nothing else.

      Don't worry about this.. I think it's just a normal occurence between people which is called Microsleeping (I think). It happens to my friend too and I don't think it's anything to worry about

      make sure you buy eyedrops(use before and after bed, but don't get too attached to these, can be damaging aswell)... your eyes can become really dry and you can get eye damage. See an optometrist soon. There is a surgery that you may need, forget what its exactly called but they make a small cut inside your eyelid to make them fall down easier. What may be happening is that your eyelids aren't strong enough to shut properly.
