      A few stupid questions...

G'day, I've been trying to LD for a while, I keep reading WILD and know its where you sleep, wake up and them somehow make yourself have an LD. Trouble is I none of the tuturials make any sense to me for some reason. Can anyone point me in the direction of a simplified version? Or explain it simply?

And I've also had two or three dreams in the last couple of dreams where I resassure myself that I am dreaming, thing is, I usually wake up at that point. I have had a dream where I realise I am dreaming, but for some reason I turned myself into an otter and jumped into a river. Is that lucid, or just dreaming of lucid?

Lastly, if you are lucid, does your dream continue indefinately? Or do you wake up normally? And does it count as sleep? I mean, does LD'ing mean you arn't asleep as such and so will feel tired after it?

      Hey Dickie!

WILDing is when you go to sleep with your concious mind active. Waking up and inducing a LD...well, that falls into WILD too, but if I'm not mistaken, that's WBTB.

Otters . That's a question my friend TygerHawk gets alot. Are you just dreaming of being lucid? I personally think that it's not possible to dream of being lucid, since you can tell the difference between a dream and a lucid dream; as long as you've had one before. And if you reassured yourself it was a dream, you became lucid. So no, I don't think you dreamed of being lucid.

Actually, I've heard people say they feel very RECHARGED, instead of being tired after having a lucid dream. You are dreaming normally, you are just in a different state of awareness. It counts as sleep, since you are in a REM cycle, in bed, and snoring! Hope it helps!!

P.S. DON'T DOUBT YOURSELF!!! Doubt is a LDer's worst enemy. I may not be very experienced, but I do know that doubt can kill your chances.

Try the link below. I think it has a very good tutorial, although it uses the word \"phasing\" instead of WILD.

It seems you are in the right path, but when you achieve a higher level of lucidity in a dream there's no way you can mistake it for what it is.

      Good luck.
