I've been trying for more than a year, and still nothing. My dreams have generally become longer and more interesting, but still no lucidity. Sometimes I become semi-lucid but it doesn't last for long. You just have to be patient and confident; keep writing down your dreams and doing reality checks. As other posters have said, it's different for everyone!

That must be quite frustrating. I admire your perseverance. By the way, what do you mean exactly when you say "semi-lucid"?
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

I just mean, I might realize for a second that it's a dream, but then I don't really do anything about it. Either that, or I immediately wake up when it happens.

That sounds like a lucid to me, albeit a brief one.

I suppose. I just don't feel like I've quite gotten the hang of it yet.
