      Are naps easier?

So I'd say I'm a bit of a novice lucid dreamer at this point, but after many different styles of attempts I've found that it's easiest for me to recognize the fact that I'm dreaming when I take a midday nap, rather than when I go to bed for the night. I'm not sure exactly what is responsible for this, but yesterday I had the clearest lucid dream I've ever had to date, I think I can safely say, and it was during a random nap. I think it's partially because of the fact that my midday naps seem to more frequently lead to false awakenings, which in and of themselves have historically made my reality checks easier. For example, the initial dreamsign for me yesterday was that I had a false awakening and my two brothers were suddenly at my bedside in my dorm room, which I knew for a fact was wrong, so I plugged my nose and sure enough it was a dream.

Any of you more experienced lucid dreamers had any biases like this? Biases of your own? Tips for making nighttime sleep more conducive for lucidity?

Oh nice, congrats on the lucid.

Naps usually give me the most vivid dreams and lucids, as well as the weirder-type dreams. Also, I remember reading somewhere that with midday naps, most people go directly into REM. That might be the reason for those dreams.

Hmm well the only bias I can think of is that whenever I have a dry spell, it always ends with many lucids coming one after the other over a span of days. Weird, but sometimes I look forward to it. :3

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I rarely have a lucid dream while napping. This is simply because I rarely nap... so I envy you!

Do you perform a WILD while napping? I knew that it was possible to WILD when you nap but haven't been successful. I usually take naps in the afternoon and I have vivid dreams but haven't been lucid while napping.

I have had 2 WILD naps so far. I basically just attempted to do WILD normally. The hypnagogic imagery was more intense so it made it a bit easier to form the dream. Not sure how that worked though.

I try to WILD, but I'm really very poor at it :/ But what usually starts as a WILD attempt often ends up as a false awakening, and from there I've gotten pretty good at questioning things and RC'ing to confirm my suspicions.

I would love to wild from a nap, i think that if i have a lack of sleep, and if i fall asleep during the day, i can wild. I have to be really sleepy in the eyes in order to wild. Congratulations.
